Remember when we used to laugh about getting 40 points and being safe, was funny before ... but now not so much ....
I remember the days at being annoyed at not winning the title, which became not finishing top 3, which became 4, top 6, outside Europe entirely, all the way to being the laughing stock of Europe. I've stopped wearing all my Utd gear in public, even the pre Glazer stuff. I don't even say I enjoy football anymore to strangers.
Man Utd: Bayindir, Lindelof, Mazraoui, Maguire, Mount, Fernandes, Hojlund, Dorgu, Amad, Casemiro, Heaven. Subs: Heaton, Dalot, Evans, Fredricson, Collyer, Eriksen, Mainoo, Ugarte, Obi. Aston Villa: Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Pau, Maatsen, Kamara, Onana, Asensio, Rogers, Watkins. Subs: Olsen, Mings, Barkley, Tielemans, Digne, Garcia, Malen, Ramsey, Bailey.
Extremely disappointed in the line up. I get that Garnacho is punished/gone, but no Mainoo, no Obi, no youth period. Whats the point?
Excuse me, haven't you seen his stats? Lowest Mistakes leading to goal in the Squad Fewest fouls leading to penalties 0 own Goals In ALL Completions Deserves a little respect no?
Decent half from us. God, that's gotta be frustrating for s Villa fan. Up against relegation fodder and they still can't a grip of such an important game.
If Bruno was leaving in the summer (ie this his last game) I reckon he takes that. That he let Eriksen take it must mean Bruno with us next year.
Bruno said after the game the discussion was which of the three who are leaving was going to take it. Apparently Jonny Evans was a hard pass, Christian Eriksen was apparently only lukewarm on taking it and Lindelof was up for it. Bruno decided Eriksen over Lindelof as he was one of the penalty takers. Also Lindelof missing one of the penalties which cost us going through in the FA Cup in March was probably at the back of his mind too
