EtH keeps getting asked about “dropping players” and keeps giving the same answer. Long and short of it is that without the injuries and with a few exits and signings we finally have the makings of a viable squad for rotation On “dropping” Rashford; “We need to rotate. No one can play all the games. "Garnacho has had end product and he hasn’t started. He needs starts. Rotation is good. "Is it difficult to bench Rashford? No, it's not difficult because you have to rotate. Nobody can play every game and Garnacho also needs to start to continue to improve."
you know some fans have brought up the big chances missed as a positive in terms of creation, but you see this half and objectively it simply indicates poor finishing and a lack of ruthlessness. it might look nice on a surface level but i see no comfort in this
You cant use the chances that fall to defenders counting ruthlessness, only one of that chance should have been put away.
Pressing shape and structure so much better than last season - dominating possession, shots etc (42’ and they havent had a touch in our penalty area). Yet again though we havent scored as have flubbed our chances. 43’ and we give up a good chance for them. Cant really pin the poor finishing on the manager (or staff ie Ruud). Not like there is a striker or wing forward who isnt getting minutes. Good performance just bad finishing again. HT 0-0
The last 5 minutes of that half are exactly what we’ve seen the past couple of seasons. We dominate possession, but look 6’s and 7’s as soon as they have a good period of possession, particularly in our half. That Eze chance should have been a goal. We still look way too chaotic in defending for my liking.
of course you can. especially big chances unmarked. don't be silly. disagree with the dominate possession part. we haven't done that in a long time consistently. the rest yes
