at this point chelsea would literally need to make up 2 points per game on United to even have a chance. i.e. chelsea must win out from here. they aren't doing that. even if they did they'd need an Newcastle-esque collapse to facilitate this

Is it that we choose not to, or that were not good enough at several things that will allow us to. Chelsea are better at circulating the ball. Chelsea are better are pressing. We just have better final third players. Defending and countering was our best option. We dont have a good enough team/midfield. Casemiro is having a great season, and today he looked like he did when we were all questioning why he was here. Were not good at pressing, were not good as possession when the other team actually wants to press us.
Agree, while it's great that we won considering all the missing CB's, we got lucky in that Chelsea hit the crossbar twice and missed a few other good chances. I think any team missing their top 4 CB's would struggle and I thought Mazraoui and Heaven did well but Chelsea definitely had plenty of possession and chance. Also thought Mainoo did well especially in the last 20 minutes.
i've seen us have a go at Arsenal pre wobble and city. chelsea were open and not as good as either. i think we could have done some damage but i gladly take the win
