Hannibal starts. As does McT again. What's going on with Martinez? God were light at the back. Some interesting choices.
Id rather play a kid from the reserves. If a no talent like McT can’t even give effort, he has no place at the club. Actually, I would’ve been cool with Hannibal in a midfield 3 and put Pellestri or someone at RW so Hojlund actually has service. Because he won’t get it from Rashford.
Hopefully this graphic means we aint playing the nasty green stripe shirts 🚨 Presenting your #BURMUN team news...➖ Rasmus leads the line➖ A start for @HannibalMejbri ➖ Sofyan is named on the bench#MUFC || #PL— Manchester United (@ManUtd) September 23, 2023
Playing a midfield 4 when we have young guys like Garnacho and Pellestri not getting minutes tells me ETH doesn’t trust our midfield and is trying to pack it so we have some control. But hell, if we’re trying to find a way to lose to Burnley, Jonny Evans at the back with McT in front of them is a good way to do it.
I said there are other options in midfield. Today, he used a different option. In fact, he made two changes in midfield.
For me, I just want to see a game without some ridiculously silly individual error. Sure, tactics are important but can we just cut out the stupidity for once and be tough to breakdown?
Evans 0-1 Edit: of course VAR does for us again - may have been distracting him but not blocking his view (which is the law)
