My parents were just in London and I asked if they happen to be in the neighborhood of Finsbury Park if they could swing by Arsenal World of Sport pick me up a the home kit with Bergkamp 10 and 2 EPL badges...told them if they had questions they would know there. Well he went in and knew I wanted 2 badges but did not know there was 2 kinds so he said 1 of each. The people there told him thats how a lot of people are ordering kits. Now I have never seen this, can anyone living full time in London confirm if this is common or not? Seems to me if it was false people at Arsenal World of Sport would either say get 2 EPL or 1 CL.
Interesting - are you sure they meant one of each patch on 1 kit, or 2 kits (one with the EPL patches and one with the CL patch?).
I have seen people wearing one of each on each sleeve. Not a common thing, but not uncommon either. It's just a personal choice, and seeing that we are in both competitions each year, I suppose it's not a bad thing to do, unless it's a "Championship Winning Year", when people tend to go just for the EPL badges on each sleeve. Hope that helps.
My first reaction is it looked odd but after a day I think it looks fine just I always want to be as close to what the players wear as possible. To me it just seemed odd that an place like that would recommend that. Just assumed they would do 1 CL or 2 EPL, not 1 and 1. On the major plus side my dad decide to give it to me as gift vs me paying him back for liked I planned to do.
Usually you have 1 CL or 2 EPL. Would it look bad to have one of each? No Most people don't knoe the difference. Plus people always have their jerseys filled with all sorts of weird things. So having one of each might actually be kind of cool.
My personal opinion, go with the EPL. Getting one of each is corny. Your new home kit is too classy to not get the Premier League patches. Besides, you're usually out of Europe early in the new year anyway! (I keed, I keed!! I couldn't resist!)
Two EPL badges is soo last year. Everybody is getting 1 CL and 1 EPL badge this year. Be careful though, i heard that if you wear the CL badge on the right, it means you're ghey.
If you wanted a kit that was as similar to the players as possible, the players have two Premiership sleeve patches or one Champions League patch on the right sleeve. A lot of people do have one of each but I only ever get the Premiership patches as you can't get the player issue numbers that do not have the Premier League Lion logo on them. And Arsenal will be wearing the shirt in Europe as there is not another home kit to wear instead. bigg skizzle
Could be they just wanted to make a few extra £'s off of you! When I was at that store a few months ago and ordered a kit with both EPL badges. They have a seperate shop right next to the store for lettering and the girl asked me if I wanted 1 of each, EPL and CL. I took just a pair of EPL badges but I was surprised she asked me if I wanted one of each, so I assume it's not so far fetched when they offer 2 of each.
Arsenal and Liverpool have the Chris Kay Premiership numbers without the Premier League lion in. Chelski have Umbro numbers, and Man Utd have Nike numbers. bigg skizzle
