Good news for those of us whose Spanish is limited to Vamos United ;)

Well done by United's front office and 1150.

Great news. Not having an english language radio voice has always made DC seem small time. One more step toward real "major league" status.

I believe it was on News Channel 8. Johnson and Harkes usually with sometimes another player sitting in for Johnny.

And every caller either asked one of two questions:

Why doesn't MLS get rid of the shootout?
    or
    Why do the referees suck?

And the third question was "when are you guys going to make this an hour long show?"

I wish they would bring it back, it was great.

Fantastic News! Kudos to Zack and the DC United front office. The streaming audio is the absolute best thing ever. Also, great job on the Meet the Coaches/Players night, it was a lot of fun. Thanks. :D

    Sweet!

Here is what I did to thank WMET:

    Subj: Broadcasting DC United matches

    Mr. Appel,

A quick word of thanks for your work on getting DC United games on WMET. As someone who lives too far from DC to get to every match, I will be listening intently either on my radio, if I can get it, or via streaming audio.

You have gained some loyal followers. DC United fans WILL reward you and your advertisers!

    THIS IS GREAT!

I'm only in DC for the summer and it really is great to be able to follow the team live for the months I'm here in Cali!

Even with so many big moves, this is one of the biggest moves of the offseason!

Yet another positive step by the front office. Now, if we could only get the team to perform so admirably...

    seriously though, thanks guys,

    D.C. United to WMET???

DC United To WMET - 3/20 - You'll be able to hear play-by-play coverage of all 30 DC United soccer games on Gaithersburg's WMET (1150 AM). The first match airs 4/12. More, including live audio streaming of the games, is available at www.dcunited.com. Talker WMET, now dubbed "Intelligent Radio 1150," plans to hike its daytime power to 50,000-watts (with a move to 1160) by late summer.....
