I don't doubt that, but I think Dest is a very different case given that he qualifies through his father and has played for the US throughout the age groups. It's hard to think of anyone to compare Musah to - it's quite an unusual situation.
It could be kind of like Terry Butcher playing for Singapore but obviously a vast difference in quality compared to the USA but just the fact he was basically born there because his father was commissioned there. It’s the closest example I could think off despite not being that close.
Ok but Butcher *didn't* play for Singapore at any point, so it's difficult to let that inform your expectations for Musah.
He should do what he likes, as far as I'm concerned. He's been given the opportunity to play senior international football for the US without having to commit himself either way. Can't blame him for taking it.
Yes of course. Sorry what I meant was concentrate on his club football before commiting himself and not get distracted by it.
I stand corrected - he hadn't when I looked earlier, but he has now. "So grateful for an amazing week with the @usmnt. Proud moment for me and the family." https://www.instagram.com/p/CHsM0i3jS8G/
Yes Saka as well. Just Musiala was the first I saw. Clearly a lot of players are friends behind the scenes so to speak.
At the risk of being made to look foolish later, I really don't see him committing to the USA any time soon. I feel very confident about that for some reason.
I hope you're right. I'd be more confident if he played in England at club level or if he played with other English players around him. Dortmund needs to get him asap. lol

Ok, so nothing of any substance that he will switch to Germany anytime soon and just merely stating that Germany want him which isn’t anything new.
Sorry, I didn't read it. I was just going off the headlines. They've been trying to convince him for a long time and will continue to do so.
Maybe his Twitter feed will make you feel better https://twitter.com/jamalmusiala?lang=en Musiala looks like another England star in the making 🤩pic.twitter.com/0YdTjkHjZW— GOAL (@goal) November 18, 2020 Fair to say that he's pretty enthusiastic!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not worried about it, just wondered if there was some kind of new information in that article that is relevant to any future decisions.
