I guess if you’re looking at positives even though some could say it’s meaningless but I’m encouraged that his picture profile on twitter is him in his England kit ( could have changed it if he’s having doubts ) and I think he rejected a call up to a Germany Squad whilst playing at Bayern earlier in the season to Captain England against Germany fwiw. Pretty meaningless granted in the grand scheme of things but shows he must love playing for England at the moment.

As rumoured, Mavididi looks like he's moving to Montpellier.

It's crazy. Not entirely sure. I know their manager (Ivo Vieira) is well liked by my clubs owner.

How many is that now post Edwards/Suliman they have been linked with ?

I think the Portuguese league is a really good stepping stone for some of our more technical but less physically gifted youngsters. The Championship can be a brutal place for a young attacker learning his trade.

He’s had a great season from what I can tell and really should be in the next U21 Squad, presumably for September but with Boothroyd the manager.....God knows.

It’s definitely a great league to develop. It’s not that physical at all, so like you said great for less physically gifted youngsters. It’s almost like la liga but obviously not as good

How good is Bellingham? I can honestly say I haven't watched him alot, but he has to be doing something right for all the European top clubs to be after him. Are Dortmund just taking a punt? Or has he done something special?

Dortmund are not in a position to spend that kind of money as a punt.

Fair enough. Hopefully he gets a respectable amount of playing time next season despite being only 17.

Not a punt. He's as close to a sure thing as you can find at that age.

Isn't 23 mil alot of money for a player who's only just turned 17? Hope he doesn't go down the same route as Rooney.

I think many might say that Rooney hasn’t had a bad career though to be fair ;)

Yeah, we certainly wouldn’t want him playing for 10+ years at the top level and becoming one of England’s most capped players.

In isolation, it sounds mental, but compare it to €46 million for Vinicius Jr and it just looks like a fair price for one of the very best talents of his generation.

You haven't really watched him play though, have you? I'm not sure how you can form an opinion of his value without at least doing that. I think it's justified; you might find that you disagree.

He’s probably the most well rounded player in any of our age group teams. Reminds me a bit of Gerrard. He’ll be worth 50 million by this time next year.
