I'm not a massive fan of Pardew and think he's a busted flush - but he has more than one good season as a manager

At Reading, he lost in the play offs, then got promoted, then lost in the play offs division above

West Ham he got to play off final and lost, then took them up, then took them to an FA Cup Final and top half finish

At Palace he kept them up and got them into top half, then got to FA Cup Final following year

He's not Sir Alex Ferguson, and his record is hit and miss, but he's certainly had more than one decent season

I think modern football has probably passed him by.

It's always disappointing when a English player struggles to adapt abroad. I wonder what went wrong for Daniel Sturridge in Turkey, since his contract got terminated. I suppose Daniel may return to the EPL for a team like Aston Villa.

Some pretty solid links for Bellingham to move to Dortmund. He was always going to move from Birmingham in the summer, it's probably his best option.

Yeah, seems like there is some legs on this one, actually hope it happens rather than a Premier League move.

  9. Is that legal? The age of 16 is only possible between EU members, something the UK no longer is.

The UK are in a transition period, so I think the same rules apply until the end of 2020.

Yeah think they can still make these signings until the transition period has ended which is the end of the year if I understand correctly.

It wouldn't matter, as long as he signs by the end of the year.

FIFA said "Our understanding is that under the terms of the UK Withdrawal Agreement, EU law remains in force until the transitional period ends, on December 31, 2020." So in other words it'll be legal this summer, but not beyond then.

Watched his first MLS appearance against New England on Saturday, (which bizarrely was on an old school artificial pitch). He had a really good game on the left of a back three. He's not the quickest but looks good positionally, and passed the ball well into midfield and looks like has a good longer passing range too. His Central Defensive partner was 20 years his senior!

  17. He can sign and play this year, but after 31st of December he can't play until he's 18.

No, I’m sure if he signs for Dortmund in the Summer for example he can then play for Dortmund next year and the year after that despite being under 18, that must be the case right?

Yeah, that's my reading. Article 19 bans international transfers of players under 18 with certain exceptions, not the playing of them. As long as he makes the transfer while he still qualifies for the EU/EEA exception, he'll be able to play.

Sancho has equalled the record for number of assists in a single Bundesliga season. 15. Still has time to break it
