Not really a surprise but both Jobe and Carney are back on the bench for BVB. Both have got to improve imo and be more involved in key moments more regularly and I include Carney in that despite him scoring in midweek against Bilbao.

🇧🇪 After 288 days, Max Dean is back! I still have high hopes for him playing for the U21's.
Was wondering when he'd make a return, think he would of been in contention for the 21 Euros the summer just gone if not for the injury. Probably to soon for November, but hopefully he's fit and firing come March.
Am I the only one who thinks it´s strange to see Jobe is getting more playing time than Carney? Been mostly impressed by Carney when he´s played for Dortmund which I can´t say about Jobe so far. It´s probably because Kovac views Carney more of an AM/winger than a central midfielder.
I was thinking before that I'm surprised at how little game time Carney gets. He seems to always perform in his cameos and fans seem impressed by him. Definitely a weird one. I'm not 100% sure what his best position is though either. I think he ultimately is better as an attacking midfielder. Has good goalscoring instincts.
James McConnell started for Ajax but was immediately hooked at the break when they were behind. They then managed to turn the game around and win it... Not a good period for him after the Chelsea match in which he also started. EDIT: On a more positive note, Quansah back starting for Leverkusen after his injury.

I think Serie A has a decent amount of critics nowadays because when they put out clips of goals it looks like it is being played in slow motion. Maybe it’s at least partly because of the loss of Balkan and African players to the Saudi league. It certainly doesn’t look the same whereas the German and Spanish leagues look relatively similar even if they have had a quality drop.
