Scotland is going to have it tough to get 3 and get out of the group breaking them down.

Argentina are tough to break down, all about the defence for them but hopefully it’s a platform for them to work on. Just glad we got the goal tbh.

Is Duggan injured? I think England might look better with her and Mead wide and Parris through the middle, but Duggan hasn't played at all so far.

Gotta say, I've really enjoyed the games in this tournie :) Frankly, more than I do with the men's team. Too much stress, maybe?

Dunno... but it's been fun whatever happens here on in.

I'm quite happy with how things have gone down. Already through to the knockout stage and think we have a very realistic chance of getting a positive result against Japan who are very overrated in my opinion and have been for the last four years. Teams respect them too much, which has made them look better than they really are in some matches.

the way its being used is ruining the sport IMO

Too much pedantics now with VAR, the game risks becoming like rugby where so many of the games are decided by technicalities and interpretations over those technicalities.

It should only be used in cases of clear and obvious errors rather than looking for excuses to give penalties or disallow goals as it is currently being used. Certainly they're going to have to overhaul what constitutes a penalty as there's a ridiculous amount of them with VAR often for things where the punishment doesn't fit the crime (though the Argentina - Scotland initial penalty was indeed a penalty).

    Scotland got absolutely screwed.

Good for us on winning three of three.

Cameroon in the round of 16 on Sunday then. They gave the Netherlands a good game and beat New Zealand who had defeated England in a warm up game.

Still it would be very disappointing to be eliminated by them. A potential quarter final against Norway or Australia. And if they could get through that probably a semi final against the USA or hosts France.

    more of the same nonsense..
clearly fires the ball at the arm from close range..
that is not an intentional handball..

I don't think intent is part of the rules any more. It's down to where your hand is. It's absurd and needs to be changed back as soon as possible. Intentional/unintentional was much fairer, even if it is arguably more subjective.

I knew the Cameroon game was a one off and wouldn't get overwhelmed by Norway, but my goodness that was a brilliant attacking display. Neville has done well to abuse our right-hand side with Bronze and Parris feeding the ball inside to Ellen White. The tougher the opposition, the more likely we'll attack well.

So it's us against the USA in the semifinals on Tuesday.

    We have nothing to lose.

The two teams I pull for meet, not happy about it, but I know one will be in the final. 538 give England 33% chance.

So, do we think we can beat the US in the semi? Personally, I think we’ve a decent chance providing we can shore up the defence a bit. Not really convinced about Millie Bright from what I’ve seen.

We have a chance. I think we might come up short though. Our left side will get pressed alot and that will be a big issue whilst trying to play with the ball deeper in the pitch. I don't like Duggan on the left either. Lacks pace and always want to come inside.

Basically we need a massive defensive display and for the likes of Walsh, Kirby and Bronze to have great games.

US should run Rapino hard, then bring in Press or even Pugh when Rapino tires and fades like she has all tournament. That along with having to get past Dunn would leave Bronze pretty much locked up. But Jill Ellis is a big plus for England here, so no.

Those three are very capable of having big games. I'm afraid of the USA's press, which was honestly most of their offense against France.
