Wondered when a Women's teams thread would emerge. Shame about the U17s at the WC, they seem a talented group though.
Seems like the senior ladies keep getting better over the years, which I guess implies that more and more people are getting interest in the sport on the womens side of things. We have pretty good depth.
Eurosport were showing the games. They did well to get out of such a tough group. Got a point out of finalists North Korea, also drew against a physical Nigeria side and then battled from a losing position to eliminate Brazil. Japan were too good for them technically in the Quarters, they're playing North Korea in the final. I think the commentators said they were the first England side to qualify for an U17 world Cup since 2008. If I were to pick out one player it'd be the #10, Ellie Brazil. I wouldn't be surprised if the goalkeeper Roebuck ends up in the senior side either.
Shame Stanway was banned for the Japan match, but I don't think it would have had much difference on the result tbf.

We should be beating Spain anyway with the talent we got. The Spanish FA don't particulary care about their women's team. Still it's nice to see us get wins like this.
The Wizard gets tricked! Sorry, @karenjcarney - we're not deleting this one! 😂 #megs #doublemegs https://t.co/XVfxZp9IJn— England (@England) November 28, 2016
