How many new players has she blooded in 6 years? Would Russo be playing if White retired? I doubt it. Same with Millie Bright if fit.

That certainly does suit Spain and deserves a mention but there is always a lack of critique that means the same errors continue to be made.

lol she’s not that extreme. She is terrible at using the squad though. I mean for example Charles should be playing more at left back considering the alternatives. It’s almost like you have to be a phenom type to take a spot though.

I do wonder what Maya Le Tissier thinks of this? The best defender in the WSL, not even considered it's laughable.

What does Ruby Mace need to do to get a call up in midfield.

I think Wiegman needs to realise time has moved on now, she has to divert course or she will get herself sacked. I know ultimately her achieves overshine everything, but she's starting to annoy fans now.

I think Le Tissier is similar to Wubben-Moy and Carter. Worry for them all in games of this calibre. It is a shame Williamson got injured.

Like with the Men the FA doesn’t fancy any other option. Hayes is not available and I feel like they will be reluctant to go for a Man and they are not that many top women around. It’s possible the Men’s World Cup this summer leads to issues hiring anyone non English.

The BBC say Mace has been a centre back most of the time for Everton?

Germany are the first European team to confirm their spot at the Women’s Cup. Denmark are pretty much there ahead of Italy and Sweden. A bunch of fight in the fourth group between France, Ireland and Netherlands through.

Yikes. I didn’t see the match, how bad England played last night?

I’ve woke up this morning and I’m still pretty angry about it.

Spain were good, sure, but England were inexplicably bad and Sarina got badly exposed for playing the same players nearly over 5+ years and it all coming back to roost. She got took apart on roster construction badly.

As for Maya, she couldn’t be any worse than both centre backs last night who were a shambles.

And Williamson frankly is an injury waiting to happen at this point plus she’s dainty. That forward would have bullied her chronically whereas I think Maya would have been fine.

Mace can play holding midfielder as well.

I’ve never seen Williamson be bullied. I genuinely can’t see how anyone can watch that game and think Le Tissier would have solved anything.

This is a sensational quote from someone who watched that first half and did nothing. Then only made a change after close to 60 minutes and only when we had conceded the third goal.

"I expected a very tight game. There was a difference tonight because we were disappointing - and it hurts," said Wiegman.

"We just didn't play good enough, and we couldn't step up anymore. They became more dangerous but we couldn't get to another gear.

"First of all, what I'm trying to do now is think 'what caused this?' We have to see what went really wrong.”

You can’t carry players off the ball in central positions against Spain. This is just the basics. Starting Toone in that condition is a very obvious error.

Starting her is bad. Not taking her off at half time is mad but continuing with her until we conceded a third after almost 60 minutes is lunacy.

Just listened to The Debrief on the Football Daily podcast. I’m disappointed to say that I didn’t like how dejected and defeated the players sounded, almost as if they’re already preparing to miss the World Cup. They sounded awfully broken.

Which is odd when the playoffs are pretty much designed to make it as hard as possible for the higher ranked teams to go out.

Though it was rumored that she received several offers. London was the club most associated to where she was heading to. Club owner Michelle Kang seems to be willing the spend more than anybody else on woso players plus Putellas probably didn’t want to play again in the Champions League, especially with next year’s upcoming WC.
As of yet I still haven’t seen an official signing though, other than the Guardian article that said she did

I did write probably, she did mention once previously that the 2024 Olympics was too exhausting due to playing the extra games in the Champions League.

I find it strange that UEFA put their champions and runners up on the same qualifying group.

It’s because last year Spain and England finished 1 and 2 in the same group stage system so in pots of 4 there was a 25% chance of it being repeated.
