New rules will see international teams at all FIFA tournaments have to have at least a female assistant coach if they do not have a female head coach. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cge0djne300o
Manchester United want their new 100,000-capacity stadium ready in time to host matches at the 2035 Women's World Cup.
Good stuff. They also won their other couple of qualifiers by a single goal as well so close games. Other tournament contenders are usual suspects. Spain, Germany and France. 2025 runners up Norway will also be there. Poland have qualified for the fourth year running. Believe the draw is at 2pm today, so starts in half an hour!
The FA will snub Manchester United's new stadium and assign Wembley to host the 2035 Women's World Cup final - The Sun Chelsea Women are considering the possibility of moving all of their home games to Stamford Bridge from next season - The Sun Our U17 #YoungLionesses will face hosts Northern Ireland, Germany and Norway at the UEFA Women’s U17 EURO Finals in May! 💪— Lionesses (@Lionesses) March 25, 2026 Avoid Spain for once and have Germany, Norway and Northern Ireland. Good chance of at least getting in the 5th place play off for a play at the U17 World Cup this autumn.

Had loads of youth appearances and played well in those but is still a surprise to get a call up from the Portuguese league. Her 18th birthday is the Iceland match. Willamson in but Beaver-Jones and Clinton are absent due to injury and Toone is not back. Mead comes back from injury. No Charles despite being back for Chelsea.
Pretty blatant dual national pick regarding Parkinson. Worthwhile long term though. Seems like they know they can’t lose specific players and they have done their homework on numerous of these cases.
I didn’t think about that. Could be a reason why but if it is Weigman and the FA are not going to openly say so. Due to Citzenship laws Japan is less likely to be an option for her so it’s between us and Portugal.

I highly doubt she’d choose Portugal. I think Japan isn’t that far considering how US born tennis star Naomi Osaka easily floated that rule.
Osaka is believed to have given up her American passport (She was born in Japan - she moved to America at 4). Japan is not China who do seem to have a don’t ask don’t tell policy for elite athletes.
Celebrating an incredible England career! 💪Mary Earps will join us pitchside before kick-off at @wembleystadium for our #FIFAWWC qualifier against Spain on Tuesday 14 April 🏴 pic.twitter.com/jutl4xp0xt— Lionesses (@Lionesses) April 2, 2026
Opening game of the tournament is England against the hosts on 4 May at Inver Park. Chloe Sarwie and Laila Harbert both selected for U23 level when they're still eligible for U19 qualifiers. Also Oboavwoduo absent so must be injured. If England fail to qualify for U19 competition, maybe they'll let May Cruft attend U17 tournament instead. Still eligible and didn't get the chance last year as England were beaten in qualifying by Finland and Netherlands.
