Sonia Bompastor: "Lucy Bronze was not available. She felt pain in her shin again and we felt it was the right decision for her not to travel and to rest." Confirms it was the same injury from the summer. #cfc— Emma Sanders (@em_sandy) February 1, 2026
How did Arsenal guts that out? Corinthians to their credit just kept coming and coming soaking up crazy amounts of pressure.

Exclusive: The FA has proposed radical changes to the Women’s FA Cup, including seeding four teams and dispensing with a draw after the round of 32, when a bracket would show a pathway to Wembley. Consultations ongoing. No final decision yet. #WomensFACuphttps://t.co/hu33uvdWAz— Tom Garry (@TomJGarry) February 3, 2026 Excl. Leicester have enquired about a loan move for the England youth int. Lexi Potter but, at the time of writing, Chelsea aren't willing to sanction it, sources say, unless they sign a midfielder today. Potter's last start came in December's 9-1 win over Liverpool. #LCFCwomen— Tom Garry (@TomJGarry) February 3, 2026

Ready for a trio of fixtures in Spain 🔜Our latest U20 #YoungLionesses squad ⤵️— Lionesses (@Lionesses) February 18, 2026 Layla Drury is only 16 and has played competitively for Wales youth teams (born in Wales I think). Just made her debut for Man Utd. These games won’t be competitive so no requirement to switch to play.
Wales fans aren’t taking the Layla Drury call up well. Doesn’t sound like it is a definitive switch at this point anyway.
Looking on the GRO index it looks like you correct she was born in Wales, in Wrexham. Not sure where she was raised.
Our #YoungLionesses squad set for matches against France and Netherlands 💪— Lionesses (@Lionesses) February 18, 2026
She’s put out a statement on Instagram about her international future. https://www.instagram.com/stories/l...rce=ig_story_item_share&igsh=Zmt0YTd1c3N2d2dx
Drury’s switch is on the FIFA change of association platform - Meaning she can now play competitively for England.
Probably one for the duals thread, but has any player men or women switched permanently from Wales to England before? Can only think of Owen Hargreaves (but even that’s different given he’s Canadian)
