Ellie Roebuck has been added to the England squad to face China at a sold out Wembley Stadium connected by EE later today, followed by the meeting with Ghana in Southampton on Tuesday.

The Aston Villa goalkeeper has been capped eleven times, and was part of the squads that won UEFA EURO 2022 and reached the 2023 FIFA World Cup final.

Roebuck comes in to replace Manchester City’s Khiara Keating, who has withdrawn after sustaining a small groin injury in training yesterday.

Congrats to Moorhouse. Not many make their debut after they've turned 30!

Didn't expect them to sell out Wembley, not a particularly glamorous game is it?

Unless China are bringing a lot of fans or something.

Very good performance. I thought Ghana might have been a heavy goal match (And still could be) but I thought this would have been a closer match.

This is the problem with Wiegman. Why play what she thinks is her strongest available team in that game? You could have half your starters playing in both games. Then the lesser capped options have an experienced base to play with them.

Pretty much learned nothing from that game. If we are picking strongest teams the way Beever-Jones is being used is also confusing. Should be ahead of Mead and Kelly.

    10.30am, Monday 1 December 2025

Grace Fisk has withdrawn from the England squad with a small calf injury.

The 24-player squad will close out a historic year for the Lionesses at Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium with a first ever meeting against Ghana tomorrow evening (Tuesday 2 December) at 7pm GMT.

Beever-Jones was the player at the press conference so she is likely to start tomorrow,

Good to get another win but that was a bit of frustrating watch. Kendall is really impressing.

Germany hosting the 2029 Euros. UEFA has gone for the biggest bid which they don’t always do so.

Ghana were a tougher opponent than China, which was unexpected based on FIFA ranking.

Denmark/Sweden joint venture and Poland were alternative options apparently. Given the latter has never hosted this competition they must feel somewhat aggrieved.

Anyway, hosts or Spain to win Euro 2029 would be my very early prediction.

A 'three-peat' for England would be good though.:D
