This is the problem with Wiegman. Why play what she thinks is her strongest available team in that game? You could have half your starters playing in both games. Then the lesser capped options have an experienced base to play with them. Pretty much learned nothing from that game. If we are picking strongest teams the way Beever-Jones is being used is also confusing. Should be ahead of Mead and Kelly.

Ghana were a tougher opponent than China, which was unexpected based on FIFA ranking. Denmark/Sweden joint venture and Poland were alternative options apparently. Given the latter has never hosted this competition they must feel somewhat aggrieved. Anyway, hosts or Spain to win Euro 2029 would be my very early prediction. A 'three-peat' for England would be good though.
