The only two who started in the WSL last weekend were Hampton and Emily Ramsey for Everton. Ramsey is only starting through because Ireland’s Courtney Brosnan is injured. Keating was unused as was Euros standby player Sophie Baggaley. As a whole they were a lowish amount of English starters last weekend and numbers are still trending downwards. 6 at Aston Villa 4 at Leicester 3 at London City Lionesses 1 at West Ham 3 at Everton 2 at Manchester United 5 at Chelsea 3 at Spurs 2 at Arsenal 2 at Brighton 3 at Liverpool 2 at Man City

Why didn’t she call her up when she was playing at Liverpool? Looks like she is a squad player now at Arsenal. All a bit odd. Maybe one of the centre backs has said they don’t want to play left back anymore.
I think she just prefers players who are at the big teams even if they not playing as much as she would like.

It makes you wonder if we could be in for a bit of a fallow period after the current generation ages out and Wiegman leaves, especially as other nations begin to catch up organisationally.
Hello I am looking for under 17 and under 19 women's international matches from 1998 to 2002, preferably with lineups. I hope you can help me. With thanks in advance Fred
If you look at the recent women's u17 & u19 Euros England have been finishing in 2nd - 4th place quite regularly so there's definitely talent coming through. It's almost inevitable that there will be a fallow period compared to 2015-2025 though. England have been legitimately in the top 4 best nations in the world winning 2 x Euros and reaching 2 x World Cup semi finals and 1 x World Cup final in that period. We might never see a 10 year period like it again.

Jess Park is an injury doubt for the squad now as she was absent for Man United in the CL. (Ella Toone got an assist and Maya Le Tissier played the full match) For Arsenal it was an English goal night with Beth Mead and Alessia Russo scoring and Chloe Kelly assisting the later. However Katie Reid was absent due to an injury so yet another injury doubt for this squad - but Taylor Hinds and Lotte Wubben-Moy did play the entire match through. Stanaway got a late assist for Bayern as well. Women League cup this weekend so the 3 CL teams don’t have a match so only those at Villa, Brighton and Man City in action (Plus Bayern women and the NWSL three - Morgan and Moorehouse teams play each other Saturday).
it's the price you got to pay if you want to establish the world's best league(you need the world's best players to do so). What gets me os most clubs aren't even owned anymore by the UK. So majority American money splurging on woso might be a good thing, but with that comes with an devil may care attitude of 'winning is everything' no matter what you stomped on to get there

I would take the purity side any day, but I like winning more than anything. If you aren’t winning, it’s reasonable to question the devil and take it out.

The Liverpool captain, who was capped across the England pathway but yet to make her senior debut, replaces Katie Reid. The Arsenal defender joins Grace Clinton in withdrawing with a small injury. Both will remain with their clubs for rehabilitation. The 24-player squad meet at St. George’s Park today. The Lionesses face the South American champions at the City of Manchester Stadium on Saturday 25 October (5.30pm BST kick-off), before hosting Australia at the home of Derby County on Tuesday 28 October (7pm GMT kick-off). Tickets are available for both fixtures by clicking here. Pity Katie Reid got injured. Was looking forward to her making a Senior debut. Last month, plans to upgrade their training ground in Kent were approved by local council. Looks quite ambitious. If there is a decline hopefully it's over before hosting 2035! It was a tough next match away against Poland but they got the win in that game as well so should be a top seed in decisive Spring qualifiers. Are Lola Brown and Omotara Junaid also injured? They've promoted Laila Harbert to U23 team even those she's still eligible for these U19 qualifiers. Issy Hobson from Everton seems to be in and out of these youth squads so perhaps they don't particularly rate her.
Think Lola Brown is. She hasn’t appeared for Crystal Palace since she came of the bench on the first match of the season on the 7th September. No idea about Omotara Junaid - she’s in America now playing in NCAA so not sure how call ups from that work,
