Hi, I'm new to BigSoccer. I put this on the World Rivalries board, but I believe it's more on topic here. What should be done to stem the tide and decline? There seems to be more and more English players being displaced in the Premiership. I don't see an end to this trend. In a few years, I would expect that English Football will need to implement some protectionist measures, or there will be no English players left in the top flight. It is a shame that this is happening. What is happening to English football and what can be done to save it? The problem is that English players get displaced by better imports. These players than end up getting demoted to the 1st division rather than finding a place with a top team in Spain, Italy or Germany. Something needs to be done, because at this rate, I worry that England will have serious trouble qualifying for future World Cups.
