Tough to call. We can go back to the last official game these two countries played in Ukraine (Ukraine beat England 1-0 in the WC2010 qualifications). ON the other hand, England have far more quality on their side than Ukraine does. Considering home field advantage (though Ukraine had never won at Donbas Arena), I would call it a draw. 1-1. Sadly, that will eliminate Ukraine.
England will have just too much for Ukraine, in my opinion & with the return of the man below I think it's all good news for England, but how many times have we thought this before!
Oh, now I need to start giving detailed information, yes she is the biological mother. And I am the biological father.
I think everything will depend on how England will play. I don't know if Roy will do they play defensively like against France, or if they will play more open like against Sweden. IMO, he'll choose the first option, because England almost gave the victory to the swedes in the last game. So, my prediction is the same as yours, 1-1. But if England decide to attack, maybe Ukraine can have a chance...
Well, I just saw that Roy said to EUFA.com that England will play to score. Probably he's trusting on a good perfomance of Rooney... Er, anything can happen.
I know Hodgson has pretty much confirmed it, but I don't get people saying Rooney shouldn't start - he's our best player, Rooney in Carroll out, in my eyes
Support a Ukrainian victory and for Sweden to beat France by a result even greater.... that way both go through... But both Ukraine & Sweden are really, really gonna need your support to do this, so I'd paint your house and car yellow n blue!
I see 2-1 England, but I wouldn't be surprised by a draw, but it wouldn't exactly blow my mind to see Ukraine eek out a 1-0 win. I'll be cheering for Ukraine to win, and Sweden to win by 3+
From BBC Football- England: Hart, Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Cole, Milner, Gerrard, Parker, Young, Rooney, Welbeck. Personally I would play Carroll up front with Rooney to batter the centerbacks for 60-70 minutes then sub in Walbeck to finish the job.
yeah but I'm thinking the fact that Welbeck & Rooney are strike partners at club level as well might have something to do with how they may link up at international level... a Rooney-Carroll forward line is a fairly untried combination...
linesman missed 2 offsides which couldve resulted in 2 goals , lucky for them both the linesman and fifth official didnt see it pass the line even though it was infront of them lol
The commentators here argue that the Ukrainian player was in off-side, before his goal was disallowed, anyhow.
That's irrelevant. I am not even talking about that. I am talking of Ukraine not looking like an inferior side in this match.
He was clearly offside - harsh outcome as I thought Ukraine played brilliantly but it should never have got to the player taking the shot if the assistant referee hadn't missed a blatant offside
