Was it Terry that made the fine stop on the scoring opportunity for Macedonia.. Another brilliant defensive play..

Don't worry, you can always lump it up to Crouch!

Well give them 10-15 minutes and then substitute if no improvement to new plan.

Goal!!!!! Crouch goal. That guy is such a surprise no matter what. How did that go in off the bar?

Big improvement so far this half. Keeping the ball better.

An improvement for sure, but there's still too many players looking for the long ball and not enough composure being shown.

Also, the policy of bringing everyone back to defend corners really annoys me (I'm pretty sure McClaren used to do it at Boro as well). How is Defoe going to help at the back? Surely it would be better to leave him up at the half way line, forcing them to keep at least two back and giving us an outlet once we get possession back.

    Eh - fancy that.

Now, who said he'd bag three goals from the two games, two in the first, one in this one.

...oh, never mind, that was me :D

Agreed. But compared to the first half it is way better.

Would like to see Lampard off and Lennon on. Gerrard to the middle.

How many free kicks that frog ref has given? What the heck, did he just give Crouch a yellow? Is that because of his long arms?

Two wide-men would be great. It would help force their wingbacks back a bit and hopefully Gerrard would be a bit more effective in the middle.

Ain't watching the game, just got in.

Is Lamps still as invisible as he was in the last game...er...last few games?

He was involved in the goal, but that was about it.

Lampard is in danger of becoming Mclarens Beckham.

He will be lucky to start the next game.

Great. Mclaren goes 4-5-1 taking off Defoe for Lennon.

Lets sit back and invite all the pressure.

    Um...not good.

Still, I'm sure teso will be here right quick enough to fill me in :)

Other than that though, I take it we're not putting in a stellar performance.

    Will we nick it 1-0?

The next game is a tricky one - Israel 'away' so I doubt Maclaren will do anything bold. After that it's Andorra so that is where he is most likely to try something.

Personally I think a couple of games out of the side might be best for both England and Lampard, I just don't see it happening next time around.
