Had a Brazilian finished like Frank the ITV commentary team would be, quite literally, wanking each other off.

Not been impressed with the defence for a while. That Cahill bungle summed it up.
    But we're back at 2-1 .

Great cross by Baines, looked really sharp since he came on and big improvement over Cole.

Good workout that. Only the fourth time we've beaten Brazil. Just hope we keep players fit now for the qualifiers.

Good to hold on for the win. I thought we more than matched them over the game. They pushed at the end but then again they had no choice.

Team played very well. I should note the penalty save before it is forgotten, but that was a pivotal moment in the match.

Congrats to A Cole, winning 100 Caps is a great achievement that few have managed, so hats off to him.

Not a bad performance. Big improvement on the Poland game, but hard to judge friendlies. Not good to see the defence totally lose the plot at the start of the second half...it's not the first time and it's a worry.

Harsh, keeper is more than solid, defence were caught cold, we had far more than they could handle going forward.

Yeah, it might have almost been the decisive moment in the game. If they'd had scored first we might have started getting a bit nervy. As it was we could push forward knowing it was all square and then we were 1 up.

It's amazing how he has got back to his best after such a long injury. What a game from him last night.

Obviously, yesterday was too small of a sample size to judge a player definitively. The team was poor overall, but I'm curious to see if anyone "stood" out for you guys on Brazil?

    Congrats on the win.

I thought Oscar had a good game, this also pleases me because he plays for my club side! :)

When we go out to Brazil I hope we can select a strong team and not have a mountain of withdrawals. Every time we do a summer tour we get a lot of mystery injuries. I think we were down to our Z team last time we played in the USA in Chicago .

I thought Cesar was good obviously and Dante did well interrupting our attacking flow. Oscar looked good. Though I have criticized Neymar's performance, to be fair to him he looks capable of causing damage if you let him.

I thought Oscar was the player who caused us the most problems. Fred, Neymar and Ronaldinho all missed decent chances to score. On another day maybe they convert those chances. However England actually dominated possession against Brazil for long periods. I would normally expect Brazil to control the possession but that did not happen. It was the first time Gerrard and Wilshere had started together in midfield so we shall have to see whether they can continue to do as well against other midfields.

I'm not sure this is a particularly good Brazil team, tbh. I've seen better, anyway.

Don't most World Cup hosts struggle in the run-in with the lack of competitive matches and in Brazil's case organizational issues?
