With Dan Ashworth leaving the FA, I wonder if Boothroyd will be on borrowed time especially if the new guy comes in and has bought into this whole ‘DNA’ structure and understands like the rest of us that Boothroyd isn’t the man to take this group forward.
Hoddle what the hell. We need young coaches who could potentially be a future England manager. Guys comfortable with aggressive pressing football and there's loads of them in the academies. Just like the best young players, they struggle to get any senior jobs.
Unless it’s someone that’s coming in that has already watched a lot of U21 games and not been impressed like us here
Yeah, that’s a name I was thinking of but couldn’t see us pulling that one off. Not sure what the pay is like managing England U21’s but wouldn’t he be on more at Derby? Presuming money would be an issue. What about Joe Edwards from Chelsea?
I read that Ejaria played really well again yesterday. nice bit of skill here 1045219437660577794 is not a valid tweet id
What are we hoping to see in terms of squad selection next week? From my point of view, I would like to see Sancho, Barnes and Roberts called up in place of Gray, Solanke and Lookman. I also think that Mount will stay with the under 21s for now, but Maddison will make the senior squad. Chilwell is in a tricky position because he has Shaw and Rose ahead of him (so might go back to the 21s.)
I would keep Lookman in the Squad tbh to show that we have faith in him. Dropping him would just shove him more in the direction of Nigeria I fear. He’s off form and probably demoralised due to his Club situation, I think Boothroyd showing a bit of loyalty and belief in his ability to help get his confidence back wouldn’t be a bad thing, plus Gray is out injured so there is a place for him.
Well I like Roberts, but I'm not sure sitting on Girona's bench is doing much for him. Barnes will probably get called if Maddison goes to the seniors. Agree with Marcho that we should show some faith in Lookman. As for the coach discussion, I've always been a fan of John Peacock. Not a young one, I know, but he was very good with the U17s, likes to play the right way and seems like a good mentor to young players.
Lmao we are screwed Sok Campbell said he is one of the brightest minds in football so let’s see He can’t even remember his age ffs
WHAT A COMEBACKTwo goals in two minutes and West Brom are level, thanks to Harvey Barnes' equaliser. Watch live on Sky Sports Football and Main Event or follow: https://t.co/dbOjiuIXB8 pic.twitter.com/1Z6NNGFjF3— Sky Sports Football (@SkyFootball) October 3, 2018
Surely he has to be in the squad tomorrow? He’s in a rich vein of form and only seems to be getting better.
This guy is on fire. Not just now but the whole season, I really want to think that next year he will play along Maddison and Gray.
