Watched the Norwich v Coventry match tonight, he wasn’t amazing but had some nice moments, he has all the attributes to be a very good forward long term.
Yeah, I was looking at the squad and seeing who he could replace or rather who’s the competition. I think he plays as a more advanced midfielder or can play just centre midfield. I guess the competition is already quite deep if you bring back previously injured players also like Hinshelwood so maybe best to bolster the U19’s and play rather than U21’s and be on the bench.

Shame that Acheampongs playing time seems to have stalled under Rosenior. Before he arrived many Chelsea fans were saying he was there best defender so it seems unfortunate that he now seems to be very much a backup.

Sunderland and Everton are showing an interest in Chelsea’s 19-year-old England Under-21 forward Tyrique George. Clubs in Spain, France and Italy are also following him. (Sky Sports)
Everton could be a decent move, wouldn’t want him joining Sunderland though. I just think for most youngsters, moving abroad is just usually a smoother pathway to regular first team football rather than the challenges of premier league Clubs. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule either way but if I was George, I might consider moving abroad if it’s the best opportunity to develop.

You have to wonder ( well you don’t, just a figure of speech ) how De Zerbi leaving Marseille will affect Nwaneri’s playing time. I mean by all accounts he hasn’t played that well in the previous two games and subbed off at the interval on both occasions. He started on the bench today which probably isn’t a big shock but one to watch I would imagine.
Do you know who is more highly rated? Perhaps that's why Simkin is still uncapped at U21 level. Carsley started Tommy Setford over him in the most difficult games against Ireland/Slovakia despite being couple of years younger. Broke a bone in his foot and has had surgery. Definitely out of the qualifiers next month and might miss rest of the season. Obviously Mubama is also injured. Guessing we'll see Tyrique George up front again like he was against Andorra.
Max Dean with 2 goals for Gent this evening, so he could be close to a call up given the other strikers missing.
