Much better second half, some good slick play and Jobe finding some really good passes through the lines which is encouraging for him going forward, needs to translate that for when he plays for Dortmund all being against much tougher opponents. King is a really good player by the way, not that I needed to see him playing for the Under 21’s to know that fwiw.
Some interesting results in other games in U21 qualifying. Germany losing at home to Greece. Dutch drawing at home to Israel.
Dom Ballard with a hattrick against Doncaster today. Still find it irritating how he was never given a chance to prove himself for Southampton now they´re in the Championship.
Tom Watson is the second player to play for Carsley who is the de facto son in law of an Irish teammate of his. In Watson’s case his partner Lily is Ian Harte’s daughter.
Gittens is a weird player in that 90% of what he does is stupid and/or frustrating but then he's also usually involved in breaking a deadlock. He drives me mental tbh but then at the same time I can't complain too much.
