Yeah, they're probably right about Carney. I'm extremely high on him and I think his ceiling is higher than Jobe's but it's impossible not to be a bit concerned by his injury record. It's one of several reasons why Chelsea's £40m valuation of him is so pie-in-the-sky. If they don't budge on that valuation you could see a scenario where Dortmund can get him on loan again, but I could see a Premier League club signing him permanently at a compromised price. There are probably a few PL clubs that'd be willing to pay £25-30m for him.
A training squad is being announced later in week. Then the final squad will get confirmed closer to the start of the tournament.
Hopefully it is better than last time. Picked just 24 options for the training squad and players got injured. Meaning they needed replacing later on. Circumstances are much different now too. Plenty more options deserving of a squad place.

Harvey Elliott on his future: “It's about what's best for my career”. “It's about reflecting and seeing what I can do. I'm here at the moment and I'm focusing on the final game”.(Fabrizio Romano) Sounds like he might actually leave Liverpool.

Paul Wanner will play for Germany at the U21 Euros this summer and will not travel with Bayern to the Club World Cup. The decision has been made in consultation between Bayern, the DFB and the player's camp [@kerry_hau]
He was on loan all season, and hasn't played for Bayern, its not a particular similar scenario to the England players, if that's why you've posted this?
Newcastle United are among the clubs set to hold talks with Ipswich Town’s 22-year-old English striker Liam Delap this week. (Talksport), external Manchester United lead the race to sign Delap but a defeat in the Europa League final and consequential inability to offer him European football next season would hand Chelsea the advantage. (ESPN) The clear plan for Jonas Urbig is to travel with Bayern for the Club World Cup. The goalkeeper will therefore miss the U21 Euros. Dane Scarlett took part in open training yesterday in Bilbao, he must have had his groin surgery a few weeks backs. So I suspect he'll be fit if Carsley chooses to pick him
Germany have announced 26 players in their squad including 4 keepers. Is that a provisional one or are they taking extras? 1925171654511952077 is not a valid tweet id
According to DFB-Nachwuchs on Insta they'll cut 3 players for the final roster. Also, Nick Woltemade, the u21's starting striker, will be part of the German senior side for the Nations League Final Four and join up with the u21 side after that.
Is it a good squad overall? I know some of the players but not that many. I suspect we will be missing quite a few players so could be a tough game for us this time around.

I don't really understand why United want Delap. He's obviously got potential but they signed young, raw strikers in each of the last two summers and they've both struggled badly. Everyone knows they need an established #9. With that in mind it seems like it would be a bad career move on Delap's part. I think Everton or West Ham would be a good landing spot for him at this stage, and given that he has a low release clause it is viable that he could join a midtable team rather than a top one.
The problem is that an established 9, who is at the level they would want/need won’t go anywhere near them. They are now at the stage as a club where they are forced to take punts on players and shop in different markets because of their new standing in the football landscape. Unfortunately I am extremely pessimistic on Delap’s progression now. All of the clubs he is linked to would be poor moves for differing reasons. United and Chelsea are just chaotic, unpredictable messes, Newcastle is a much better and more stable environment but they have arguably the best striker in the league already so hard to see how much game time he would get. I suppose with them being in Europe next season and Isak having injury issues, this may not quite be as problematic as it appears on the surface however.
