Borussia Dortmund have joined the race for Sunderland’s 19-year-old English midfielder Jobe Bellingham, who has also been scouted by Manchester United. (Talksport) Newcastle are monitoring the situations of Matheus Cunha, Bryna Mbeumo and Liam Delap to support Isak next season. (Daily Mail) Newcastle are still considering a move for Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford this summer. (Daily Mail)
Jobe Bellingham was unbelievable tonight. Seriously impressive defensive shift. Clearly incredibly well rounded.
Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham, 19, could follow in his 21-year-old brother Jude's footsteps with Borussia Dortmund planning a £25m move for the England Under-21 international. (Times - subscription required) Nottingham Forest have joined Newcastle and Inter Milan in the race to sign Liverpool and England centre-back Jarrell Quansah, 22. (Teamtalk), external Forest are also interested in Manchester City attacking midfielder James McAtee, but the 22-year-old Englishman also has admirers at Tottenham and Bayer Leverkusen. Would love to see those three players move abroad to help their development. I think my only concern would be Quansah if he joined Inter. They seem pretty solid in defence so not sure if he would play that much. McAtee would be a great replacement for Wirtz and Bellingham would probably be a good fit for Dortmund plus would be great to see Carney and Jobe play side by side for them.
‘Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has informed Jude Bellingham that they plan to win the race to sign his brother, Jobe, ahead of Arsenal and Man Utd, Dortmund and RB Leipzig.’ (Source: Defensa Central) That be quite some move if it happens.
If I was Jobe I wouldn't go. He wouldn't get in the team and be getting compared to his brother all the time.
Apparently Alex Scott broke his jaw yesterday in the first few minutes of the game against Villa and was substituted at halftime. I’m unsure of the recovery time but maybe he’s a doubt for the U21 Championship.
I know he's played a big part in qualifying but I really don't think he should be going anyway. I do think there's a good player in there but I'm not really sure what he adds to this group right now when you look at the depth of midfield profiles available. He's been struggling for form all season too. He was playing at wing-back during the last international break and in a squad that needs to shed quite a few midfielders, he's probably the obvious candidate to be omitted.
Normally takes 6-8 weeks so probably out. Intresting that they won’t be many from the U19’s winners in 2022 in the Euro squad. Probably going Quansah (Unless with Seniors) Delap Iling-Junior Could sneak in Sharman-Lowe Edwards Doyle Humphreys Scarlett Cannot see any of the others making it.
Manchester United are looking to sign Ipswich Town's 22-year-old English frontman Liam Delap. (Sky Sports, via Teamtalk), external
Could we maybe stick to transfer rumours that actually include something substantial or new? I've read this Delap–Man Utd thing here about four times already, and there's never any actual update.
Ange confirmed today that Dane has had surgery for an ongoing groin injury with the hope that he's back available for pre-season, he's not been in training for the last month but not sure at what point he had the operation. Don't think he was going to be in this rotation anyway but this probably confirms it.
Looks like Man United are the front runners for Delap according to Sky Sports. https://www.skysports.com/transfer/...gn-liam-delap-in-summer-transfer-from-ipswich
Nottingham Forest will make at least five signings this summer with Manchester City’s 22-year-old English midfielder James McAtee and Ipswich striker Liam Delap among those they have scouted. (Telegraph - subscription required), external
At this point I think you're better l off just posting the PL clubs Delap hasn't been linked to, its almost like they haven't got a clue.
Well yeah that's my point, these so called 'journalists' can link him with any club, its an easy headline. Feel free to carry on posting the Delap links but they mean absolutely nothing at this point.
Everyone wants him, which is understandable at price he is believed to be available for - I'm pretty sure it will be Man U or Chelsea....they are the teams that have shown the keenest most long standing interest.....guess their CL status may change things if they both don't make it though
Apparently CJ Egan-Riley has signed a 5 year contract with Strasbourg according to Alex Crook from TalkSPORT.
Could be a good move for him. Burnley heading towards repeating last time they were in the PL and had matches with no English eligible starters? Also means he will be registered there under an Irish passport which might increase the chances he switches to them.
Or he just realises that having an Irish passport will benefit his career if he wants to move abroad. It’s a no brainer to be honest if you have that option available for you.
