He's got the adriano r9 Ronaldo vibes. Physically powerful, technically good. If he can get someone to work on his finishing he could be some player. I'm not saying he's ever going to be as good as those two but has the same traits
I kinda doubt it when you consider what he's up against. Palmer, Foden and Bellingham should all be back in the squad at that point.
I assumed Rogers would be competing for an off the bench role on the wide areas of Carsley’s system. So, competing with Grealish, Gordon etc.
Grealish probably moves to his normal role if we get everyone fit. Or at least when a squad is picked he gets in for his ability to play the left sided role.
I’m not sure what Carsley prefers at this point with everyone fit. Even if you believe a certain option is preferred in a 10 role there are different options who are given numerous roles under Carsley. There are going to be 5 or 6 wide roles available in a 26 player squad anyway.
Frustrating that he did not get a move somewhere to play more - 🏴 Tyler Morton completed 100% of his passes vs West Ham tonight. Only played about 15 minutes but completed 12 passes from 12 attempts. Definitely, showed his quality in the brief time he was on the pitch. pic.twitter.com/8CrbQqpNfc— Bence Bocsák (@BenBocsak) September 25, 2024
In theory maybe but he's played all his club football really as winger. He was upfront for the Under-21's earlier this month against but wasn't effective. We only managed to provide an attacking threat when Delap - an authentic centre forward - came on. I'd be very wary about throwing a player in to senior international football in a position they aren't familiar with and haven't proved themselves at. It rarely ends well
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...an-City-Battle-Etihad-SAMI-MOKBEL-COLUMN.html Wharton playing through the pain barrier Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton has been carrying a niggling groin problem since Euro 2024. The talented 20-year-old has been hampered by the issue since the start of the season despite starting all five of the Eagles’ league matches so far. The issue has affected Wharton’s form and he was left out of England’s most recent squad. And it can be revealed that Wharton has carried the injury into the new season having originally complained of the issue while in Germany with Southgate’s squad. Wharton was substituted at half-time of Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Manchester United and it remains to be seen how Oliver Glasner manages his youngster in the coming weeks. Having been selected for England Under-21s during the the recent international window, Wharton pulled out of the squad due to the injury concern.

Can’t believe Chukwemenka didn’t get out of Chelsea during the summer. What a waste of a season he’s going to have. Such a shame, he’s another one who showed great potential who sadly directed in the right way.
Also saw an article about Tyler Morton where Neil Mellor says he’s far too good for U21 Club football. Who would ever have thought that! Such a shame for two young players to have their development shunned for at least half the season at a young age for whatever reason, whether it’s the Clubs choice or the players just doesn’t sit right.
Chukwuemeka has had some unfortunate injuries but he has played so little football for someone his age. He is only turning 21 in October so still very young but he needs to get a good move in January and get going. I suppose Palmer was 21 when he moved to Chelsea and he had very few senior starts under his belt, so I haven’t given up hope for Chukwuemeka yet.
Chukwuemeka moving to Chelsea was always a bizarre move. Could have stayed at Villa or gone pretty much anywhere. Not really a surprise that it has been a disaster.
Reports were that they wanted £20m but he's on over £100k per week which might have been a tough one to work around.
