Well, it always is a possibility. The example I gave wasn't a real example, eluding to what I may or may not know at Chelsea now (IDK anything). Like I said I'd like confirmation and clarification if I'm right but correction if I'm wrong. And maybe, what Youth Development rule does it link with? We are here on their forums to learn and ask questions, aren't we?
I don't think these agreements are public, but also I think the whole area of youth contracts are deliberately kept quite vague. Clubs will generally want to get players signed so they get more compensation if they leave. Clubs would have some recourse if an agreement was broken but in practice, they're unlikely to force an unhappy player to stay. Also, it's unlikely a player will want to leave having signed a pre-scholarship without having something lined up with a club willing to pay for them. I guess anything is possible as long as the compensation is sufficient.
To be honest, I'm asking because I remember some years back, Ben Knight went to City having (allegedly) agreed a pre-scholar and pre-pro at Ipswich but City still went for him after he started his scholarship with Ipswich. Another question rises from that as well.. can a team accept more than one offer and then allow the player and agent to choose where to go? Like, for example, if Watford have a kid, and City and Chelsea and United all bid for him at £1 million, does/can Watford accept all three potential offers and let the kid decide where to go?
City agreed a fee with Ipswich - a player can transfer at any time as long as the clubs agree a fee. Yes, why would this not be allowed?
I just wanted to be sure. I didn't know that clubs can accept multiple bids. Was always confused when heard stories of players travelling to see multiple clubs, I was just thinking surely the owning club can only entertain one club bidding...
Jordan Willows (Forest) is on standby. Squad of 18 (always thought it was 24) with 6 on standby supposedly.
Reece evans is a first year scholar this year. Real promising talent, highly regarded at Leicester. You need to watch out for him
Markie M, Vinnie Hayward (Aston Villa) Owen Asemota (Arsenal, GK) Louis Page (Leicester) Harry Gray (Leeds) - Archie's brother
Jordan now in the squad that met up yesterday. Supposedly 2 more camps & first squad selected for a tournament in April.
Outside of those mentioned above. Don't have names but there are City players there (not sure how many), 3 from Villa (2 mentioned above), 2 Arsenal (1 above), 2 Man United (I think one may be Bendito Mantato) + 1 Stoke.

Dante Headley (Man City) Seth Ridgeon (Fulham) They played a match (not sure if it was intra squad or against a club) & it finished 4-3 with Ibragimov scoring a hat-trick.
Ibragimov is going to be an interesting case. Not sure we could get him registered for competitive games but Russia are ostracised from international sport.
