🚨 HERE WE GO! ENGLAND U15 Squad has been announced! New names involved!https://t.co/8hHUvmfjLM pic.twitter.com/NxqQATm2d0— TheSecretScout (@TheSecretScout_) February 5, 2026
No Camden Schaper or Kian Da Silva (who I'm not sure exists?) Rico Sealey (Chelsea) is there too. https://www.englandfootball.com/art...nder-15s-squad-named-for-cyprus-trip-20260602
Thiago Silva's son playing for us seems weird. I guess the family are still based in London, I know quite a few of the Brazilians that play in the PL stay in London and take citizenship. It just seems inconceivable that he won't play for Brazil if he becomes good enough for England. He must be eligible for France as well. edit: wiki says that his family are French citizens.
Still unsure how he qualifies for us but anyway some footage of this young Ferdinand kid from Barcelona.
From a talksport article: Ferdinand was born in Melbourne and remains eligible to play for the Socceroos, Croatia, the Philippines and his current home, Spain. The young midfielder has spent the last five years in Barcelona's La Masia, having had stints at Real Madrid and PSV's academies. Ferdinand was born in 2011 - the same year both Danny Welbeck and Kyle Walker made their senior international debuts. The former Aussie native, who can also play as a winger, is eligible to play for England through his family.
Watched United's first game of this tournament. Brian Nyoni (7), who was in the last squad, really stood out. Great player. Also liked the look of Gus Murdock (4), although he's pretty much a lock for NI.

The Cyprus FA website reports the scorers as Munoz, Wattley and Mahoney-Smith. https://www.cfa.com.cy/Gr/news/52694
Iago has been in the UK for almost 6 years now, having moved here when he was just 9 years old. He’s fully integrated into the culture and the English youth system. Given his tight bond with his club teammates and how settled he is in London, he might very well choose to represent England if he keeps developing at this rate. He basically feels like a local lad now.
Hat-trick for Jaice Dore against Dortmund today. United into the final of their tournament in the states. Mostly US highlights but, still, some footage from the game Some clips from the USYNT U-15’s 4–3 loss to England. The boys were up 3–1 at one point. It was a fairly even match overall, with perhaps a slight edge to England. This was the highest level many of these players have faced, and it revealed who was most prepared for the intensity… pic.twitter.com/HV2tIvtXUx— Marcus Chairez | US/SC (@USSoccerColl) February 16, 2026
William Ferdinand has apparently left Barcelona. Says he could potentially be going back to Australia, although that appears to be an opinion rather than based of any information.
If it's true and given he's playing for England then the logical thing for him to do would be to move to an English club.
There's an Athletic piece in regards this Cyprus trip but Marcho already posted it in another thread. Anyway having read it, can see why England U15 have tended to start their campaigns at SGP where I gather they can limit exposure of the players... That article also seems to confirm they'll be finishing their season in Croatia during May like last couple of seasons. Selectors have chosen 7 different Goalkeepers and a similar number of strikers across the two international fixture camps so far, wonder if they'll take what is considered the best squad to Vlatko Markovic tournament? Although an agent in that Athletic feature is quoted as stating better indicator of talent is first U16 camp, which has recently been against Italy in August. Perhaps too impressive, rumour is Leicester are considering selling it due to financial issues. Someone on another forum said it's roughly a million per month running costs. Saw a Poland fan account claiming he is eligible for them. Wasn't it the same score last time these two teams met at this level? USA are the first nation to score against this England 2011 side in what was their fifth match so far. Nyoni looks like type of profile the English system doesn't produce very often so interesting prospect. As for Dore, several people who watched that youth club competition (SnowBowl?) were saying he was player of the tournament. Hopefully get to see what he can do in an England shirt soon. Manchester United obviously have an excellent 2011 crop, particularly compared to their City rival it seems. Wonder if that is just a random thing or the new ownership (Ratcliffe) structure have upgraded youth recruitment.
Would be too soon for that to have taken hold in reality so it will be the work done over last few years - realistically if you miss out on top targets at U9s and pre academy you are always playing catch up
