You can guarantee if he makes it pro that Matterface will definitely say Scorer is the scorer of that goal when commentating on his games.
Is this seen as a particulalry good age group for Ipswich or could the recent update to Cat 1 status have played a part here? Don't renember so many Ipswich players being invited to these kinds of camps but I've only had an interest in the younger underage groups for about 5 years or so now.
If I'm not mistaken, I think 1999 age was their best. Nick Hayes, Patrick Webber, Flynn Downes, Andre Dozzell, Tristan Nydam, Ben Morris and Charlie Brown
It always seems to be a little political at this stage, and an attempt to get a good spread of clubs; maybe this is seen as a little reward for getting Cat 1 status. But academy has so far to go to catch up with it's peers, and that takes time as in reality if you don't get your U9s right you are fighting a losing battle the whole way through each age group
Used to love that 10 Ipswich had in their youth cup team. Some thing knights I think his name was, I was sure he was gonna make it
Seb Harrison is at the first one right now. Eliah Semakula is also there from Chelsea, as is Ezriah Morrison.
I just searched, it was Darryl knights from the 2005 team. Cracking little player. currently Stourbridge manager
Eden Mahoney-Smith is also there from Chelsea. I say this guardedly and against my better judgement but it wouldn't surprise me if he emerges as one of the key 2011-born players for England over the next few years.
