A somewhat more reputable account has all the names suggested so far but not the Merons, which makes sense.

    Aidan Guanchez (Bournemouth)

JJ Gabriel has just had surgery on his shoulder so will presumably miss the camp.

Barnsley are saying their 14 year old player Joshua Kenchington has been called up.

So it turns out the Grimwade family are famous, must be strange to grow up like this but they seem happy. Anyone know if any of the other kids are in academies?

Don’t think so but reading about them it seems they might want some of their other kids in academies.

Levi Okorie (Everton) was also there. As was Jon Nsangou (also Everton) who has been previously mentioned but isn't on that graphic. He scored a hat-trick in the intra squad match they played to end off the camp.

looking at last year's u15 process there seems to have been at least 3 camps (and that's not including the cat 3 and cat 2 emerging talent ones). Each camp had a largely different group of players. this was before the match squad was decided in the spring. so in effect these "camps" are a series of trials designed to establish who goes in the squad - is that how it works ?

Yep, and I believe it'll be the same this year.

thanks. do you know if there is any logic behind the order in which players are called up to camp EG is the first camp the "first round draft" ? it's all opinions of course. but if those were the first round draft picks then there were some major omissions. and this time last year max dowman (who is maybe the best youth player we've had in this country for several years) didn't attend any u15 camps at all. when he was called up he went straight into the u16s match squad. which suggests there are players they are already sure about ?

I think it's partly geographic and partly dependent on player availability vs club schedule, schooling, holidays etc, there's not really a big talent-based bias or hierarchy to it. Sometimes you do have players like Dowman who skip a group if they're already well ahead at club level, England didn't really do this very often until the last 3-4 years.

These sort of accounts were a bit inaccurate when it came to the last camp but here's a list anyway. Emerson Nwaneri (brother of) is the name that immediately jumps out at you.

Seems a pretty interesting diversity of clubs on display there. Seven clubs at League one level or lower.

I wonder if Marley Gabbidon is former Welsh International, Danny’s son? I have no idea by the way and can’t find any information on it.
