Patrick Vieira, happy with Malcolm Ebiowei’s impact at Crystal Palace. No plan to let him leave on loan, as of now - Ebiowei could really have a chance at Palace already this year. 🔴🔵 #CPFCVieira wants to work closely with Ebiowei to become an important player for the future. pic.twitter.com/M2seJgkhjc— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) July 24, 2022
Dane Scarlett season long loan to Portsmouth confirmed. Callum Doyle is on loan at Coventry this season.
Carney has just signed for Chelsea. Doesn’t seem like they going to loan him straight back out to another PL club but I do wonder how he will develop. I can’t imagine him getting lots of game time at least at first.
I hope he likes warming the bench and being loaned to random Dutch teams because that's what his career will amount to at Chelsea. Huge mistake from him. I blame his advisors.
I don’t think he is set for a loan to Vitesse through that often seems to work for Chelsea’s players now. If he does get loaned at some point it could be to a promotion chalking championship side or another PL team. He did seem to want to go to a big club but there were others in Europe who would have offered more playing time while still being prestigious.
Kante is 31 and his contract expires next year, Jorginho is 30 and his contract also expires next year. There is an opportunity to be taken there.
I think he would have to have a very good season to be allowed to be one of their replacements rather than someone else being brought in if either or both leave.
That’s very optimistic though surely? We all know Chelsea will buy new midfielders to replace them rather than play a young 19 year old. Hope I’m wrong and you’re right though but just can’t see the chances he would have had if he had joined a team like Dortmund for example. Quite disappointing considering I thought he was leaving Villa for first team football.
I can’t imagine he seriously thinks he will get more game time this season at Chelsea than Villa. It’s big gamble for him but i hope it works out well.
I think that's a statement of the obvious. A lot of the young players around the England squad did establish themselves at a big club at a similar age. If you can't do it you're probably not going to improve the senior squad any time soon either.
True. Not many do it at biggest clubs now a days through without a loan to get 30+ starts in a season.
I could see him deputise for Mount but then I think he’s an attacking midfielder and not a central one. It would be good if they signed KWP too. Their English contingent would be pretty high then. Chukwuemeka will probably go out on loan though.
It doesn’t seem that he will go on loan going by reports through that would be both logical and fit Chelsea. At least one of Ross Barkley or Ruben Loftus Cheek will likely leave them through. Cheslea have just also brought a goalkeeper younger than Teddy Sharman - Lowe so I wonder what his future will be.
If he was playing for Neil Critchley then I would think it’s a good move but Appleton, I’m not so sure….
The Evening Standard are saying it’s not yet decided if Carney is going on loan or not. But that he is seen as a long term replacement for Kante and Jorghino.

No Loan for Carney Chukwuemeka this season. Be interesting to see just how much playing time he gets.
I expect the UEFA Technical report for the tournament this summer will be published next month. Under the guidance of Ian Foster, #England's U19s managed to win yet another #Euros 🏴🏆Having scored 27 goals in 11 matches and conceding merely 3, @KDW_Martin analysed the tactics used by the Young Lions throughout the tournament 🦁♟️https://t.co/qlTgvo0wAS— Total Football Analysis (@TotalAnalysis) July 12, 2022 Thought that was an interesting analysis of the system. Daniel Oyegoke is another. The under-19 qualifying round is in Denmark next month so I assume all the '04 born players will be playing in that. Particularly as they don't seem anywhere near as talented as the year above. Not sure there even will be U20 elite league fixtures given the truncated season.
Maybe he gets a few run outs from the bench and maybe some Cup games but can’t see that much. This is the thing that bugs me, if it’s game time he really wanted ( which I thought was behind him moving ) then I don’t see how this move trumps what Villa would have offered him. If he ends up playing mostly U23 football then that would be a huge disappointment. Hope I’m wrong for his sake but whilst the market is still open, maybe some Chelsea midfielders will move on to pastures new and Carney can fill those holes.
I don’t think he will play a lot of under 23 matches and also be a full member of the senior squad in terms of training which seems to be the plan for him. Harvey Vale made a few senior benches last season while still playing under 23 matches but I don’t think he was always training with the seniors.
The reports say that Tuchel has personally told him that he's ready to help the first time right now.
