England U-19 Discussion Thread #3 (2005 born) [R]

Not much mention on here about Aidan Barlow. Anyone know much about his recent games? He was/is pretty good to watch.

Do you think that they'll keep Sancho with the tight knit under 19 group or move him up to the under 21s next month?

 

Bring him to the seniors, he’s playing first team for Dortmund

 

Sancho since joining dortmund:
14 games, 1 goal, 7 assists. ...and most of those games have come as a sub

 

I have a feeling that he'll play at least one game for the under 21s first though...

Anyone know how O'Reilly is getting on at Fulham. Only heard of the hype at u16s and saw one small clip of him but know he was highly rated but injury prone. Is he playing and if so how is he getting on?

 

I think he was out from basically Christmas to the end of the season. Still just 17, spent all of pre-season with the 1st team, well established in the U23s and played in the EFL trophy the other day. Still making decent progress.

 

Not to be pedantic but his name is Matt O’Riley. He played and scored for Fulham u23s last week and is a regular.

Sancho starts for Dortmund tonight in the Champions League! Big chance. Looks like he'll be playing on the right (where his most recent assists have come from.) What is his best position? He used to play more on the left.

 

Hoping for a good performance from him, he surely has to be in the next squad now..

 

I bet he isn't.

I think more of a goal threat on the left, but maybe more likely to assist on the right.

 

He’s not yet ready for senior International football imo. He’s a brilliant prospect but don’t see the need to throw him in the Lions den yet, keep him in the U19’s or U21’s at best for the time being.

 

There are some UEFA U19 games on today. Any idea of a site to stream the Man Utd match?
