I don't know if it's the camera playing tricks but does he not look much bigger than usual there? Looks like he's filled out massively to me.
hell of a loan so far for him. Rowatt has turned to the more senior heads in Skipp and Winks for his first game. arguably not the wrong move. how Page and Monga fit in will also be one to watch. Mukasa thriving though.
Could write what I'm about to write in the paucity of English opportunity thread too but it'd be devastating if Leicester were to be relegated with all of their interesting youth players coming up.
Skipp has been back for a while. Monga is a strange one. The game comes easily to him but he could learn a lot from Mukasa about work rate. Yeah. Gonna have to sell all of those youth players of we get relegated for PSR or whatever it's called. The youth players also have their paths blocked by senior players on stupid contracts
Nice little write up on Mfuni but from it, I don’t know he had a brother who plays for Liverpool who is apparently equally as well thought of. 🏴 I am convinced Stephen Mfuni will be a senior England international in 12-18 months. He is in my opinion the best English CB prospect around. Impressively he can also play as an LB. Been really impressed by the ease with which he has settled on loan at Watford. His younger brother also regularly plays above his age group. Mainly at left back, sometimes central defender from what I´ve heard. Believe he also won MVP in a youth tournament with Liverpool whilst playing up a year. Born in 2012 if I´m not mistaken so we might well see him get invited to one of the upcoming talent ID camps for the next England u15 cohort.
Liverpool and Manchester United will not pay Wolves' £50m asking price for 18-year-old England youth international Mateus Mane this summer as they consider the midfielder too raw. (Football Insider)

A bit rusty. Mendel-Idowu scored the winner in this game. 8 goals and 4 assists in 12 games in PL2 this season.

Impressive brief Nyoni cameo - 🏴 Loved that cameo from Trey Nyoni tonight. Came on with a lot of confidence and didn’t put a foot wrong. - 100% duels won (3/3) - 100% passes completed (8/8) - 1 foul won - 1 tackle won - 1 interception - 1/1 dribbles completed Not bad for about 10 or so minutes 👏 pic.twitter.com/qwUilMx2OS— Bence Bocsák (@BenBocsak) March 6, 2026 Trey Nyoni vs Wolves12 minutes played pic.twitter.com/zUPrAY7rqY— 🎴 (@sbzcomps) March 6, 2026
hindsight is 20/20, but i remember a time we were all cursing him leaving Leicester. now we should be thankful he's not there (given the obvious).
Was only half-watching yesterday so take the following with a grain of salt but from what I´ve seen Rio´s main flaws from the Euros were still there although not as glaring. Still enjoyed dribbling and taking on defenders too much at times. There was one incident where he should have squared to Robertson for a decent goalscoring opportunity but instead took on another defender and killed their promising attack. Not the first time he´s done that for Liverpool either. His shooting was also pretty lackluster and always directly at the keeper. However, he was a constant attacking threat for Liverpool, probably their biggest, and many of his shooting chances he couldn´t convert were created by himself through some great trickery. Also creating lotsnof space for the others players by constantly taking on a tiring Wolves backline.
