I think Antwi comes out of this cycle with a lot of credit. Sidibe inverting from left back in one game and Shahar flying down the outside of Dowman against the Dutch were two of the stand out tactics for me.
There's clearly a player in there somewhere, he just hasn't really kicked on as we thought he might since the U16s. He was very good at that age but he had a poor U17 Euros in 2024 and has struggled to get back in the setup since. He was called into the U19s as a late replacement following injury withdrawals last month which, from memory, was his first inclusion in quite a while. I didn't watch any of the full 90s so I can't say how he did. Whether or not he gets called back next month will tell you that. He's started the last three in a row for City's U21s now after starting the first game of the season on the bench. I suspect they'll want to keep him in their youth setup for this season at least and then see if he's ready for a first team loan next season.
Max Dowman is in the Arsenal squad for tomorrow's game at Port Vale.Mikel Arteta spoke well on him today, especially on how Dowman can learn from Bukayo Saka when it comes to being targeted by opposition defenders.More here:https://t.co/CAO9VIeOH2— Simon Collings (@sr_collings) September 23, 2025
Hopefully a full club debut tonight joining Scholes and Beckham in an exclusive club of players to play their first game at Vale Park.

Everytime I see comps of this kid, he always impresses me. Never been called up for England either which seems unlucky when you see those type of highlights unless he’s lacking in other areas.
Rio Ngumoha's Liverpool contract will see the 17-year-old earn £52,000 per year - a quadruple increase on what he was on before. (The Sun)
I sympathise with him because the team is a mess, the environment the fans are creating looks really toxic and he's been put out on the right a lot but yeah, he's clearly struggling a lot. Rangers fans seem perplexed that Russell Martin keeps starting him. Spurs probably need to take a good look at the situation if it continues and decide whether he's being overexposed. I doubt a player of his age and experience has robust enough confidence not to be knocked by an experience like this.
They went down to 10 just before half time (for about the 3rd time this season), watched the match he was decent. They had to take off a forward/attacker to bring on another midfield option, so they wouldn't get overrun.
Cheers, it’s seems a lot of Rangers fans on social media are saying he’s been very poor overall though and that one of their own players (can’t remember which) should be starting ahead of him.
Rangers was always a pretty strange loan for a should be flair winger. SPL is a bit of a throw back league in the kind of rough play it allows relative to other leagues, not a great place for flair players in general, but especially not youngsters on their first loan. I think it was always going to be difficult for Moore wherever he went given he's not particularly physically developed for his age, but they really chose a poor loan for him. Somewhat par for the course for Spurs though who seem to have pretty baffling development loans at the best of times. I don't particularly rate Dane Scarlett but their development of him has been very bizarre.
This is an issue across the entire Premier League. I don't know if it's a consequence of fewer clubs in the EFL chasing PL loans or a lack of care on the clubs' part, but the choice of loan destinations for PL youngsters has been really poor across the board in recent years. So many choices just look lazily picked.
I could see the logic for Mikey Moore going to Rangers but it was heavily dependent on Russell Martin’s competence. Both the Old Firm teams seem to have declined in quality recently. Meaning it is much harder to embed younger players into their set up.
Teams are so scared of losing young players, that they're on inflated wages, which mean they can't go to the right level for their actual ability most of the time. There would be no issue with Moore playing in League One for a season at this stage in his development. But it'd never happen. Instead players/teams/agents rush and don't focus on the important thing, which is where these players are at when they're 22-27, rather than 18 and 19.

Oliver Whatmuff has made a promising start to his senior career. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/wrexham/forum/324673/oliver-whatmuff/
Hat trick for Mheuka vs Benfica in the UEFA Youth League. He's off to a flyer this season, 15 goals in 12 games for club and country so far. He's looked our best all round centre forward that we've had coming through for quite a while, though he didn't score too many last season, so great to see he's been on fire on that front this season. Hopefully he keeps it up and keeps developing, as we could desperately do with some new centre forward options emerging for the seniors sooner rather than later!
