Do you think they'll give an update re Moore or just hear nothing until we see he's out the squad for the Germany game?
Well he pretty clearly went over on his ankle, so it's just what the severity is, that's just guess work.
Had a quick look on the German thread and wasn’t hardly any comments but from one it seems they had issues with the coaches, kind of similar to how we view a few of our coaches in the development program.
All I can say is it looked exactly like a serious long term ankle injury incident would look like in terms of angle his ankle twisted in to the turf, his agonised reaction and the way he lay on the edge of the pitch in prolonged pain. I just hope appearances were deceptive in this case
It is a real shame Rigg was lost because this would be a pretty formidable team in a 4-3-3. I assume that was the plan too. Like a lot of games nowadays at U17 and U19 level we just look too open and easy to counter on in the system we’ve ended up in.
Also, if you did a montage of the goals we’ve conceded in these U17 and U19 tournaments over the last few years I am sure a lot would look terrible. It’s usually individual errors or really bad collective team play.
It is correct that they are counting corners, free kicks and bad passes, 0 of his 8 crosses found an England player! That said he did have 7 unsuccessful dribbles which is a hell of a lot in one game. He was also taking shots when he was surrounded by players.
Not accurate, he put in some great crosses. Can watch the highlights, Kaden Young literally hits the post with a header directly from a Moore cross
Think they probably counted that as a shot, I was in two minds at the time if he was shooting or crossing there.
Isn't he more if a forward/wide player, maybe they just couldn't get another midfielder involved at such short notice.
Mikey Moore, Alfie Devine, Dane Scarlett, Japhet Tanganga, Harry Kane and John Bostock are the six Spurs players to score at an U19 finals.
Always find that sort of stat interesting. Saw Spurs were also top for players provided to the England senior team and England senior goals too
He mentions beating Portugal in the elite round , if you look at that side we're missing Dibling, Miley, George, Acheampong and Rigg from it. With those in this squad you'd really fancy our chances in this competition.
It is not just the injuries/pull outs it is the timing of it all that has an added effect. I assume Mikey Moore will miss this game at the least. I would even throw in Jayden Danns’ injury struggles meaning we’ve lost our best 2006 CF option completely this year.
