Boooooo, he’ll be 33 at the start of next season though and looks to be in decline. Best to get rid tell Dan.
Could well be paper talk as it’s a big step up but has been outstanding in PL2 and was City U21 POY, I suggested some time ago he might be a dark horse for this u19 squad but clearly they don’t fancy him. I think he’s a potential late bloomer that St George’s park have overlooked to be honest he probably wouldn’t suit the England DNA, very much a 1-2 touch tempo controller great awareness and passing. Not the physical specimen or ball carrier type
I’m wondering why Chido Obi is at the U20 friendly Tournoi in France rather than the U19 or U21 Euro? They promoted him to the U21’s not long ago.
UEFA are just terrible at promoting this tournament. It just feels a real pain trying to figure out who is even in each of the squads. Tournament starts in a few days and you would struggle to know it was even on.
They’ve now rushed him into that U20 tournament, on pretty awful pitches after dragging him across the world to play their games. Really doesn’t make sense from a players interests but who knows. It might be true though. We’ve been talking about Ayden Heaven not getting in this squad but maybe they were never allowing it. We don’t have any Man Utd options in either our U19 or U21 squads but maybe only Heaven was deserving. Amass maybe too.
Not that they really had much of a chance, but Montengro's star player Vasilije Adžić has been ruled out as he's going to the CWC with Juventus. He actually made his senior NT debut yesterday & scored.
fair to say we've lost the battle for him? honestly not been that close to seeing what camp he prefers.
I don’t think it was much of a battle tbh. I’m not even sure whether he is even eligible yet for ourselves.
Some of the squad numbers are being shown on the players’ instagram. Not getting much of an update anywhere else.

Can they call up a replacement this late. Have a feeling they not able to or won’t if they can, ‘Chris Rigg is OUT of England’s European under-19 squad in their bid for glory in Romania. Sunderland midfielder Rigg has pulled out of the competition with an ankle injury problem. It’s a blow for England who have Rigg as a key man even at 17. He was outstanding in qualifying games. And several clubs were due to watch Rigg in the tournament as his reputation grows. Sunderland want Rigg to be fit for the start of the Premier League campaign.’
