I like Tyrese, and was championing him on this thread a month or so back, but that Tweet is a little hyperbolic, considering he has so little football beyond u18 level. But he should certainly be on the radar for March and beyond for this squad.

Think Millwall's handling of Esse has been odd. They're probably gonna lose him in the summer yet they've hardly played him. Feel like they could've put way more effort into his development and they'd probably be looking at much higher transfer fee. It's not like they've been anywhere near playoff contention so it feels weird that there hasn't been more alignment between managers and board room about giving him more developmental minutes.

Jobe needs to establish himself as a good championship player before he gets a ‘big’ move. I’ve watched him a lot and he’s been poor for a while. For the first few months of the season he was excellent but he has dropped off significantly since then, and really shouldn’t be making our first 11. There may be an element of him being overplayed for his age, to be fair to the lad.

 

He made 1 tackle and 2 dribbles, it looks better as 100% though. I'm not knocking the player but sober analysis doesn't get clicks. Sousa also made 2 key passes which was a strange omission. From the stats at least it looks a reasonable debut but far from spectacular.

I thought he had another poor game, but it’s expected at his age. I still think he’s got fantastic potential but way too early to be in any conversation about the England team. I’d like to see how he does in the U21 squad first.

 

I suppose it's the old adage 'you're only as good as your last game'. I do find myself tending to agree that perhaps talk of the first team is premature, even though I'm contradicting my opinion of just last week! No doubt next time he has a good game I'll change my mind again but in games like yesterday he just seems too slow in defensive transitions and too little overall impact.

I went to the game, his passing is absolute class. Looking like a great decision by Spurs to drop him back in to midfield rather than try to develop him as a deep forward.
