Oh true, my bad! Transfermarket had him as an 08-born player at one point (they often mix these things up for the younger players unfortunately) and I was still going by that, but they´ve updated it now. Thanks for correcting me then!
Someone born in American who received indefinite leave to remain doesn’t have the same push to get a British Passport as someone whose only passport is of a country that requires visitor visas for most international travel. Same with Fábio Carvalho and him only having a Portuguese passport.
Fabio Carvalho’s preference was pretty obviously waiting on Portugal all along though. Okoduwa may possibly be showing limited intentions to gain a British passport. I’m assuming this is your insinuation of a possible scenario? It is hard to figure out what your point is at times. So, I could be wrong. If Okoduwa is doing that then why isn’t he playing for the USA? He could go to an U17 WC and still switch back later anyway? He’s basically ostracised himself for no reason in this scenario.
Perhaps for whatever reason he hasn’t been able to get one yet. The rules are a bit complicated for Under 18’s born abroad and might depend on now he and his mum moved to the UK. In September when he spoke about being open to the USA or Nigeria he mentioned the Euros were coming for England.
Just a random question with all these underage teams at St Georges park together at the same time does anyone know if they ever play each other in practice matches?

Zyan Blake from Forest was on standby for this last squad. Fought back after a tough little period with growing pains as 1st year scholar to be starting a decent number of our U21 games back end of last season & scoring/creating some goals. One to watch. Think the one most likely to follow the Abbott-path with our first team. George Hemmings was a big loss too.
Manchester City are ready to rival Liverpool for Salford City'spromising young striker Will Wright. (Daily Mail) I think he is a 2008 born player.
No 16-Year-Old Seth Ridgeon as Fulham announce scholars for the season. As we have mentioned he’s been linked with LiverpoolMan Utd Man City But sure other clubs would been interested. Let’s see if any other make a move 🤝 https://t.co/INloYLFpS7 pic.twitter.com/AqDH02zPXP— TheSecretScout (@TheSecretScout_) July 9, 2025 Not sure a big move will help as that’s a gamble.
Fulham yet to retain England U17 captain, Seth Ridgeon. Manchester United, Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea are all pursuing the 16-year-old midfielder who is yet to make a decision on his future. Fulham not giving up hope of keeping him.— Jacob Steinberg 🎗️ (@JacobSteinberg) July 11, 2025
If he and his team have any commen sense then surely he should stay at Fulham and continue his development. Probably and much better chance for his pathway compared to those other Clubs who will likely just sell him in a couple of years to make a quick buck!
#MUFC in talks to sign two 16-year-old midfielders seen as among best in country: Seth Ridgeon from Fulham + Tyrese Noubissie from Man City.Competition for both, who have been invited to facilities by academy staff, but United making good proposals ⬇️https://t.co/FRSmnRE2Fi— Laurie Whitwell (@lauriewhitwell) July 11, 2025
