Kofi Shaw for Bristol Rovers also looked bright in the game against Spurs U21s, I think he's 17 also.

A senior debut for 17-year-old Josh King. 🌟 pic.twitter.com/bB5op7LgJB— Fulham Football Club (@FulhamFC) August 27, 2024
Played very well and had the ball in the net. There was a moment whereby he found himself in the left back spot from a long ball and dealt with it coolly - I do fancy him to break through this year.
Silva confirmed Josh King will be around the squad this year and a decision on Martial Godo (and whether he goes on loan) will be made tomorrow, depending on what happens in the market.— Peter Rutzler (@peterrutzler) August 29, 2024
The Squad Goalkeepers: Thorsten Spike Brits (Manchester City), Douglass Lukjanciks(Everton), Oliver Whatmuff (Manchester City) Defenders: Harry Amass (Manchester United), Samuel Amissah (Fulham), Jaden Dixon (Stoke City), Airidas Golambeckis (West Ham United), Christian McFarlane (New York City), Saheed Olagunju (Chelsea), Carter Pinnington (Liverpool), Leo Shahar (Newcastle United) Midfielders: Jack Fletcher (Manchester United), Ollie Harrison (Chelsea), Joshua King (Fulham), Trey Nyoni (Liverpool), Christopher Rigg (Sunderland), Souleymane Sidibe (Stoke City) Forwards: Jesse Derry (Crystal Palace), Baylee Dipepa (Port Vale), Mateus Mane (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Shumaira Mhueka (Chelsea), Divine Mukasa (Manchester City), Alejandro Rodriguez (Olympique Lyonnais), Trevan Sanusi (Newcastle United)
He's withdrawn from the Venezuela squad apparently. Looks promising from our perspective that he'd leave a senior squad (albeit he probably wouldn't play) for our U18s.
Mateus Mane is an interesting one as he was born in Portugal and has already played for them. Reverse of Eric Hamelberg who is playing for Portugal at that tournament having been born & raised here + having already featured for England.
Well based off the Euros Mukasa is seen as a winger, although personally I think he's better centrally, and Rodriguez can also play wide so I think the spread is fine.
Yeah I don't think it's a bad thing, I was more curious about Mane because I've not seen him much. From memory I think this group have played two up top a bit before anyway.
Also worth pointing out that he's gone into a non-competitve age group, passport issues simmilar to Ndala?
I still think it's quite likely that we'll lose him when he's a bit older. It's a small thing, but the way he says "when I was 10, I had to move to England" here suggests to me that his heart might lie elsewhere. We've had a few players from other continents who've gone with England when they were younger and then switched to their other country when travelling long distances became more feasible and less disruptive.
That’s a bit of Fireburn-esque extrapolation right there. I agree that he remains a precarious dual though.
