After reading some of the comments on this post from X, I think I now understand why the FA aren’t that keen to be more progressive with giving out information about Youth teams. Jesus, some of the comments just blow your mind!!
Saw two ( the other one about being racist to white kids ) but sorry should have said it’s a running theme of insane comments everytime these squads get announced.
I mean , you get these kinds of comments under all youth team announcements of the big European football nations and even more often at senior level (it's not just a European/Western thing either; just take a look what Morroccans think of Black players like Dioup or Mo-Ali Cho for example...). Ironically, I think this new X feature which automatically translates posts from other countries has opened eyes for quite some people.
Been watching Chizzy closely against City and have to say I like him more and more every time I watch him. Actually think he might have a more seamless transition to men´s football than Mheuka.

Just looking at the Cyprus squad and it contains Michael Mylonas from Charlton and defender Antonio Perkins at West Brom. Looks like they are the only players based at non-Cypriot clubs.

I find it sad that the FA's own website won't mention who England's captain was (it was Page), or even reveal who scored for their opponents, especially when it was an own goal. It's quite obvious that they haven't actually watched or been at the game, and that the information has been relayed to them second-hand, because they have to be quite creative when describing each goal separately - "made an impact", "struck for England", "made it 3-0", "added a fourth", "further bolstered the scoreline", "got in on the act", absolutely zero information about the goals themselves beyond who scored them. I'm grateful that they include the line-up and substitutions (though I always have to check them against other sites to make sure that they haven't missed any), but why bother with these pretend descriptions? Surely, there's somebody who went to the match that could do better, even if it's the bus driver! Sorry, but it's been bugging me for a while!
