Manchester United have reached a verbal agreement with Cerro Porteno for 17-year-old Paraguay left-back Diego Leon. (Fabrizio Romano) Not good news for Harry Amass and follows plenty of reports this week that he might be frozen out completely. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1987249/Man-Utd-transfer-news-Ruben-Amorim

Numerous somewhat weird headlines about Amass now. Is it an agent thing? Is it logical to go on loan to a relegation threatened PL club at this stage in his career? It would feel extremely challenging to me. Maybe they want out and they are making noises in an attempt to get the desired move next season. The last link was Villa though and they have arguably some of the best depth at left back in the PL.
Surprised Amass is getting/or being considered for more minutes here and there, seems to be a decent fit for Amorims desired system.
if you see any link with us to a prem loan move discount it unless its and experienced player that would almost immediately start as we have 2 prem loans and would have to terminate the Edouard loan, which we're not going to do for a young player
🔵🔐 All documents are signed for 2007 born talented LB Christian McFarlane to join Manchester City.It will be formally announced during the January window. https://t.co/qaMsmEN00S— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 9, 2025
‘Serie A club Lecce are among the clubs to have enquired about signing 17 year old Leicester City winger Laolu Omobolaji.’ https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cdd9zm4qerlo
‘Manchester City 17 year old talent Divine Mukasa, attracting interest for the upcoming weeks/months. Understand Bayer Leverkusen have now included his name in shortlist for targets for the future, while Ajax are also keeping close eye to the situation.’
Mukasa played for City in a youth tournament organised by Ajax a few months back and stood out quite notably, so it's not surprise they've got their eye on him. City have hoarded so many youth international quality forwards that they won't be able to give most of them opportunities even if they want to, so Mukasa should jump at the chance if it's legit.
