6 Chelsea players start, can't remember seeing any England team at any level that dominated by one club for a game
Our #YoungLions got off to a winning start at the U18 Super Cup in Spain this afternoon 👏A debut for the brand new England away kit, too! 🔥— England (@England) March 20, 2024

So much competition at centre half for this group i’ve noticed. Akomeah, Abbott, Jemide and Samuel all absent from this squad to name a few.
Jarzinho is a pretty handy player to bring off the bench for Germany. Not sure he's got the legs for the full 90 anymore.
Presumably this German U18 team has a number of the U17 WC winners, should be a decent test. Mad that the Germans are even providing English commentary!
They seem to for quite a lot of their games, they had English comms available for Germany u19s against Croatia on Wednesday too.
I can't imagine its in anyway cost effective, so fair play. Shows that England could have broadcast the game against Czechia if they wanted.
Stream cut out right at the end but Flashscore reckons it finished 0-0. That was a better showing from that group than anything I saw under Garry. Looked technically very good against a very good Germany side that were way more physically developed on the whole. Some absolute units in that German team.
Jayden Danns was Captain. Didn't go to the World Cup, perhaps back then he was injured. I noticed France U17 have brought Messi with them. I wish they had shown the penalty shoot-out after the match. Could see in the Germany game that this side were looking way better as a collective. The Czechs also beat Germany 4-1 so England have topped the group. Hopefully they kick on now and qualify for the U19 Euros next season.

There's always been a certain element of being involved in senior football boosting England youth coaches view of a player. And there's always been a certain element of scoring a few good goals boosting everyone's view of a player. Those two bangers against Southampton, big career move.
