Tough group for the qualifiers, Netherlands have been extremely dominant at this age group in recent years having made the last 3 finals consecutively, and Denmark always give us a good game at any level. Would be very poor to not make the Euro's 2 years in a row though, after last years shambles. Only really have ourselves to blame for ending up second seeds in the first place with a poor result against Israel.
2-0 at HT, Nwaneri scored again. Northern Ireland 1-0 up against The Netherlands in the other group game.
That seems to be a fair reflection of the first half based on UEFA updates & stats. Hopefully coach Ryan Garry can improve them for the second half. Bringing on Lewis-Skelly or Archie Gray might help.
He must be some kid. Played for Arsenal or was it just on the bench? Then seeing him do this… Must be rated very very highly.
Yes, played a small bit vs Brentford and quite a bit in the December friendlies. As an Arsenal fan, I would be extremely disappointed to lose him, him and Lewis Skelly are reportedly two of the top 10 talents from Hale End in the last decade according to someone who works at the club
He has made his senior debut. He’s playing a year up here as well. Some talk that he’s going to Man City.
Thanks both who replied. Id hope he doesn’t go to Man City, he’ll never start for them at any point, Arsenal on the other hand would be prepared to take a punt, but he’s improving so much.
Nwaneri’s goals from the last game Ethan Nwaneri with an incredible 2 goal performance for England U17. The first goal shows just how incredible his balance and technique are. Amazing at this age he already looks a level above the rest.[Subscribe to @lifegunnertev7 on YT for best comps]pic.twitter.com/F8fXhGxYXb— Will Balsam (@willbalsam) March 23, 2023
Might not need to. Depends on their result today. A point will almost certainly see us qualify and we may still qualify as one of the best runners up even if we lose.
