Can't believe the likes of Chris Long has got the chance to impress in this tournament ahead of Adam Campbell.

A few random ones but it's hard to comment much when we don't know who is in the other squad. Didn't expect that many newish faces.

By other squad do you mean the squad that Peacock will pick for the the FA International Tournament?

I hope players aren't going to miss out on both tournaments too, but the FAIT tends to be of a higher quality than the Nordics, the better players come back from the previous tournaments added to the ones that impressed here. I'd personally be surprised if Campbell got a go at the FAIT now.
Doesn't surprise me with Man City. Crewe have done well to keep hold of their prized academy assets recently though.

Notice on the squad sheet the FA haven't updated Angus Gunn's move to Man City too btw, they still think he is at Norwich City .

Also that forward Mason-Bennett was Derby's Academy Player of the Season:

You are wrong mate. Liverpool were nowhere near their full strength side either. The team they put was missing Belford, Robinson, Flanagan, Coady, Wisdom and Suso. Last season Man U won the Youth Cup encounter and Liverpool won both Academy League games.

Interesting piece on the two Derby players. Mason Bennett is only just about to turn 15.

Mason-Bennett is probably one of the players that will come back for the next Victory Shield, since that is how this tournament is used for some players.

makes you wonder why we dont have an U15 side as well, considering how young we're picking them for the 17s.

It's been mentioned on here in the past by a few of us that we should have a U15 side in place by now. Other nations have this level, yet we don't. There would be so many benefits, it's quite amazing the FA haven't implemented one yet.

The U15 issue has been questioned on here for years and everyone I've asked at the FA has always ignored it. I got an answer of sorts from Nick Levett on twitter -

Atleast Levett is willing to discuss the matter. Having an U15 level with possibly a new coach would improve the structure to our youth setup a lot. Other nations just arrange friendlies with each other at U15 level, it's not rocket science.

Max Clark has been replaced by Alastair Gordon.

I assume Clark will be with the U16's now then.

Yeah, Clark is young enough. Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill will have to hope that Peacock gives him a call up in the FA International Tournament.

I would assume it would be Luke Shaw for that tournament.

Yeah, Shaw has already cemented that place for himself. Ormonde-Ottewill has had 68 mins so far, in the 0-3 win over N.I, shame he hasn't had anymore opportunities. He is rated highly at Arsenal.

Pundits and the like often refer to our u15 team. We used to have the schools team which were called u15s but was actually u16.

I don't think we should have an u15 side. There's no point. And too early.

That team used to play Germany at Wembly every year IIRC yet hardly any of those 14- 15 year olds ever made it to the full side....they were invariably the lads who had matured early and, at age 14/15 were biologically "men" though cronologically still "kids"...the 14/15 year olds who were still kids never got a look in.

I've never heard any 'pundits' discuss it at all.

Of course there is a point. Almost every other nation has one and bringing players into the training camps and playing one or two tournaments would help. Instead of just letting them go off with other nations' U15 teams.

    a) Do you listen much to pundits? I do. A hell of a lot. I've got diplomas for it. And it's not just pundits - it's (many) fans in general who think there is an u15 team.

    b) I don't have any fears of losing players to other countries at u15 level.
