That would be weird if true as surely they should know if they can play or not by now otherwise it’s awful planning surely?
Maybe they're hoping the issues can be resolved relatively quickly because otherwise, like you say, it seems very strange to include them in the squad.
Nope, played for our U23s on Monday. Has had a very good season on the whole so it's a surprise he's not there unless there's some complication with his registration like has been cited with a couple of others.
Madueke had a good half. Some lovely, sharp turns and he won the free-kick that led to the penalty. Not entirely convinced by our right side of defence though, especially with both Robinson and Walcott on yellows.
France look a bit bigger and stronger than England. But they haven't had many chances and England have taken their only chance.

And more technical in all honesty. We didn't have enough players to get hold of the football, that's what I feared as I saw our game against France last year and only Musah and Carvalo could do it. Not a bad result
Poor showing really. With the missing players it seems unlikely we'll make an impression on this tournament. Thought France lacked technically a bit personally. They were very poor in the final moment of quality.
As well as Sarmiento and Musah, Teden Mengi missed the first game due to injury. Plus Robinson and Madueke went off with knocks. Squad could potentially be down to just 15 players. Let's hope none of the injuries are anything to worry about.
I don't think they were to bad technical wise, but they were getting knocked of the ball to easy and I didn't have the pace to run in behind.
Cooper will do well to get us to a wc birth. The dutch looked strong so this is going to be tight. Madueke unsuprisingly our best player.
Yeah it's always debatable, they did get knocked of the ball too easily but IMO that's part of technique. poor pitch didn't help.
