Arsenal are 6 nil up, there should be now excuses for not brining Nwaneri on in a situation like this. I struggle what the point of putting him ont he bench is is you aren’t going to bring him on when the game is completely dead. He could playing for the youth team instead.
He came on but why not bring Walters on instead of Cedric Soares? Bringing on 30+ year old squad players with contracts expiring in a few months? Makes very little sense.
I think Arteta likes youth players to really earn their minutes while some managers don’t mind using youth as much as possible if it benefits the senior players.
That's the best way to go about it I think. Outside of the chances of increasing their market value, a club is not going to want to give minutes to a youth player when they don't believe they have a future at their club.
Walters has been on the bench at least 10 times from what I can gather. If he hasn’t ‘earned it’ by now he never will and should have been loaned in January. Arteta is just bad at giving chances to homegrown players. Cedric Soares and Elneny probably aren’t going to ‘earn’ new contracts but will get this irrelevant game time.

Newcastle may have another chance to sign Sunderland's 16-year-old English midfielder Chris Rigg after failing last summer. (Chronicle)

I think Ethan impacts the game at youth same as those two. First team we will have to see. I believe he has the mentality to do it.Chin is young, but due to size has played up a lot. I think improvements in hold up and movement against better defenders will be interesting over… https://t.co/dCKDbskZer— TheSecretScout (@TheSecretScout_) February 19, 2024
I know this account has a big following on Twitter but is there any merit in simply posting their tweets without adding any additional comment, surely his/her opinions aren’t that noteworthy.
There are many Man United fans on social media hyped about Harry Amass and hoping he gets minutes this season.

thieving bastards, he should be part of our first team squad, the tribunal for the fee hasn't even happened yet lol
Sunderland fans are demanding Chris Rigg starts the next game after a few cameos in Sunderland's recent matches so he's obviously impressing. The flip side of that is it sounds like Jobe Bellingham is struggling a lot and he's who they want him to replace.
Rigg had a good game. He came off at 80 minutes and got a standing ovation. Physically he looked up to it and wasn’t getting bullied off Leicester’s seasoned pros. He was always looking for the ball and didn’t go missing.

Not really an "exclusive" from Fab, same regurgitated news that Spurs sources broke last year. In the summer he signed a scholarship with a pre-agreement for a pro deal when he turned 17, same as Mikey Moore.

I'd be interested to know why England U17 haven't played since November when in comparison almost every other nation taking part in qualifiers this month have already played games in 2024. Including our opponents this month Hungary & France for example. This lad at West Ham (Twitter account corrects his position in reply) who represented England U17 back in September is highly rated as well. Haven't reported yet but Emeka Adiele at West Ham seems like one of the top prospects in the right back position. Smooth mover. Front-foot defending. Understand when space appears in front of him. Good close control while carrying forward at speed. pic.twitter.com/MisgFDkTQf— Yuki (@yuki_scout_jpn) February 20, 2024 All the other youth squads being published on Friday. Must be a reason they wait till day before opening game. Talking of Moore, is he injured at the moment? Perhaps Juni can confirm but I believe striker Mheuka is out also. Completing what would probably be the optimum front 3 is Shea Lacey who was supposed to make his return last weekend but was absent so I doubt he'll be selected either. I think his Manchester United teammate Jack Fletcher is also unavailable. Nwaneri & Rigg are currently playing and would obviously improve the chances of qualification.
