The FA have been happy to call up players like that in recent years even if eligibility is doubtful as it doesn't matter until U17; Emran Soglo and Mohamed Ali-Cho immediately come to mind.
Just hope lessons have been learnt from the Euro’s a few years ago with all the problems with picking players that weren’t eligible at that time. I know this is only a friendly so nothing to worry about at the moment but hope they are on top of these situations from now on.
That was a passport thing though right? Like Appiah and Musah and Cirkin or whoever else were involved were eligible through time lived here but the passports weren't sorted or something, whereas Ali-Cho didn't even qualify under time spent here. Soglo will just about soon, not sure when Susoho moved.
Ali Cho was eligible I think. Born in France, moved to England as a newborn, moved back at 7 or 8, then back to England in 2015 and then back to France in 2020.
