Watched him in the FAYC semi-final tonight & he was very good. Made one of the most unique saves I've seen in a while. Shot was straight at him but powerful so instead of using his hands to palm it he let it hit his chest & then just simply caught the rebound. Was really clever.
Argentina take the lead from the spot just before half time after Parker makes a foul right on the edge of the box.
Yeah he’s bad! I mean he called a penalty for Argentina earlier in the half after the Argentina player accidentally tripped up our player who then accidentally tripped the Argentine by stumbling over. It was a ridiculous claim and then the goal celebration, lol.
Not sure if I heard correctly but it sounded like he kept saying reject quite often which had me confused but I might have misheard him for another word.
He also keeps referring to the previous games as Wednesday, when they were on Thursday, and for the second game in a row, he's insisted that it's Johnson taking the penalty, instead of Joseph!
Can say that dominated the whole match, in the first half Parker had 2 ideal moments which he did not realize, defense was very good, Henry and Fejokwu gave nothing to Argentina to do, only a controversial penalty after a corner, goalkeeper had almost no work, I really liked Fejokwu, all-around developed defender, and in defense and in ball progression very good, Nduka also as always stood out, Argentina also I think need to praise, they were not enough for the whole match, they completely yielded physically, but they came out for the match as if for a World Cup final, in my opinion almost every one of them received a yellow card. And more on Parker, in the first half gave away a penalty and did not score ideal moments, takes decisions for a very long time, tries to necessarily beat several players, in the second half improved a little, there were some glimpses of good play. And also want to highlight Jobling, he reminds me of Kimmich, being a right-back, you can see him all over the field, he was on time both at the back and rose to the center for the ball play.
Parker´s decision-making has been very, very poor in the first half. (Kwasi?) Senyah who I didn´t know anything about before has been a pleasant surprise as a calming presence in the holding midfield role though.
This guy doing the commentary is doing my head in though, indicating the only reason the header went in was because the England player was so tall and out jumped everyone. He can surely use his eyes and see that he wasn’t even being marked and it was a free header. Also right at the end, looked a clear penalty for me but the commentator straight away, no penalty. Has he a slight biased or is it just me?
Will Joseph become the next big dual battle? I´ve rarely ever seen Germany produce such a smooth and technical striker at youth level as they tend to focus on physicality and height for this position. Dare I say he reminds me of Musiala if he played striker?
I don't think that he's seen that much football, let alone commentated on it before. He's really lacking in experience and knowledge of the game.
Just spent 5 minutes googling Will Joseph and only came up with the rugby player and an NFL player then realised that’s not his first name
Do you know how strong his links are with Germany? Wasn’t he born in England? If he was then hopefully we don’t have another Musiala situation, then again anything can happen when it comes to us so can never feel confident against other bigger Nations than us.
