Kayden Roberts (Chelsea) & Nathaniel Werner Mtengule (Wolves) have been called up to a Sweden camp.

 

Lartey has been called up to an Italy camp, along with Lucca Benetton (Palace) & Samuel Ekhosuehi (Chelsea).

 

Looks like England will be playing against Denmark, France and Spain at a UEFA development tournament later this month.

Same venue in Turkey where they played fixtures last November.

After returning to Montaigu in 2025, England will not be competing this year according to the official tournament website.

At least not the boys team. FA are sending an U16 girls team like last year. So I'm guessing issue is not concern over pitch quality like some have suggested. Nor financial.

2026 Montaigu tournament is between 30 March - 6 April. Can only speculate that is maybe not good timing for getting clubs to release players?

Don't think so, probably just staying with United. They've got an FAYC game on Wednesday, which is when the squad are travelling out.

any insight as to why he left Chelsea? assume it's for more of a first team pathway?

 

Certainly not shy of turning down a call-up.

 

I thought he stood out in the two games I've seen him.

 

Hopefully not like another ill fated X Utd player from a few years ago who liked to pull out of England Squads.

Tom McDermott from this same squad will sign a scholar with Everton having also not been offered by Chelsea.
